I just recently bought this CD, and I *loved* it! It's so much fun to listen to anytime...and any album with multiple Cady Finlayson songs is alright by me. :)

This is a great CD for a great film. Actual music from the movie.

In the early days of organized baseball, a great majority of players were Irish immigrants looking to become Americans by playing the "national game" of their new country. Now over a century later the game has finally crossed the pond - or at least it's trying to. This documentary captures that attempt in all its trials and glory and the music accompanying does nothing but add to the overall feel. This NYIrishGuy highly recommends this CD.

Being a huge baseball/Red Sox fan all my life. This film is a must see for any baseball fan or any sport fan. It is a remarkable baseball story of a group of Irishman trying to bring baseball to the emerald Isle. I would call it a cross between Bull Durham and The Van. The music also helps make the film what it is. Incredible soundtrack. You should pick up both the dvd and cd.

John did a great job with the movie and a great job with the sounds track. It sounds great and blends baseball with Ireland.....Enough said.

Well as big fan of one of the BEST documentaries on Baseball ever made!!! I also fell in love with the music from the film as well.
What an eclectic potpourri of Irish music. You have some wonderful instrumental songs like, "There is no rain outs in baseball" by Whiskey on Sunday...To the coolest "sounds like the Pogues" band, Neck, doing numerous tracks on the Record.My favorite song is by a band called "The Riot" called Hold on me, it truly rocks.I mean just as much as anyone would laugh at the idea that the Irish could play baseball...is the fact that a movie about JUST THAT could spawn such a brilliant soundtrack of top notch Irish Music...and hey You don't even have to like baseball to enjoy this record as well...however you do have to like the Irish!!! LOL

First and foremost, I would like to suggest checking out the film from which this soundtrack is based (Amazon has a very reasonable deal to buy the DVD and CD together). Secondly, I would like to add that if you are a fan of celtic music, you will definitely enjoy this cd. Listen to a few of the samples and see if you agree.

Loved the movie so i had to pick up the sound track. Some great classic irish tunes on here and some rock as well. If you like irish music this is a must! I've played it in my car for the rest of my friends and they seem to like it too
