A forgery,
This review is from: The Emerald Tablets of Thoth-The-Atlantean (Hardcover)
In Manly P. Hall's SECRET TEACHINGS OF ALL AGES, he reports of a "Book of Thoth" written by Hermes Mercurius Trismegistus that has been lost to civilization, and the name "Emerald Tablet" is derived from "The Emerald Tablet." This book, though it would claim that title, has no historical or acheaological claim to be that book. It was fabricated by the author as is obvious to anyone who reads it. It is most certainly not an ancient text, but a contrived work of a modern occultist, and can be found in the archives of many occult websites. Actually, if you want to read it, scan the web for it; don't waste your money. To read a genuine occult work, pick this book up:The Magician's Library Volume I: Hermes Trismegistus or perhaps this: Hermetica, Vol. 1: The Ancient Greek and Latin Writings Which Contain Religious or Philosophic Teachings Ascribed to Hermes Trismegistus. These are genuine ancient works edited by true occultists and philosophers... not fabrications. These works formed the basis of the practice of "alchemy," the often misunderstood, "pseudo-science," and the origin of the term "Hermetic." Hermes Trismegistus is identified with the Egyptian god, "Thoth," with whom the above work that I have reviewed is named after. For more information regarding the teachings of Trismegistus, examine many of the books on [...] including Hermes Trismegistus, Perceived by Neoplatonists as the Presiding Deity of Alchemy Art Giclee Poster Print, 12x16 and The Egyptian Hermes: A Historical Approach to the Late Pagan Mind and many other books available on [...].

This review is from: The Emerald Tablets of Thoth-The-Atlantean (Hardcover)
This is truly a great book. If you are interested in activating your light body and evolving yourself in preparation for 2012 then you need to read this. Now, with that said you have one of two options. You can buy it here or go to the Chrystal Links web site where you can see it and print it out for the cost of printing about 90 pages. Either way you receive this important ancient work by one of the greatest ascended masters and teachers. The web site address is http://www.crystalinks.com/emerald.html.
Have fun and learn as much as you can. The Journey Is Just Beginning.

This review is from: The Emerald Tablets of Thoth-The-Atlantean (Hardcover)
I've read all of this translated work and if it is a forgery, it is a very good one. There are many things in this work that are not only gnostic doctrinally sound but also biblically sound in its teachings...having been brought up in the Christian faith and being an avid student of the Bible, it appears that whoever this Thoth is has the same characteristics of Jesus Christ. Its to no surprise though because the Egyptian Book of the Dead, in many ways, reads like the Old Testament Scriptures. The two wisdoms of the Hebrews and Egyptians that Zosimus refers to in his writings seems to be accurate in these teachings, and Plato with other writers believed in a destroyed city called Atlantis. There is no doubt a link between the Egyptian mystery schools and Hebrew Biblical wisdoms, and this work, in more ways than one, proves that link. If I had to put money on it, I would bet that most if not all of the wisdom in this writing is not forged but proof that a higher intellect and knowledge existed before our own.God Bless.

coded metaphors,
This review is from: The Emerald Tablets of Thoth-The-Atlantean (Hardcover)
I like practical and useful information: for me this was mostly meaningless since this work actually makes little or no sense unless you know the codes and the metaphors - and anyone who does isn't admitting it, not that I know of. Do you?The reason is that the Emerald Tablets, and the Hermetica, are entirely written in coded metaphors. For instance, in the Hermetica, God is the thesis or the creator, Kosmos the antithesis or the destroyer, and Space the synthesis between the first two or the preserver. They are a kind of metaphysical and dialectic version of topological triangulation. This is paralleled in the doctrine of the Trinity. Each vertex may also be described geometrically as a set of functions or their opposites. The Hermetica is really coded physics - and not the physics conventionally taught in our schools and universities but rather a hidden physics. I myself have not learned much more than this very basic and simplistic code for a small part of the Hermetica. I also know there are at least 3 levels: the topological metaphor of the physical (deepest), the physics metaphor of the emergence of creation (less deep) and another physics metaphor of the astronomical machine of precession (least deep). If anyone reading this knows more, or can direct us as to where to find more decoding, please add a comment to this review. [Later note: There's a bit in Farrell's latest book "The Grid of the Gods.] Farrell's "Cosmic War" traces a cluster of names from ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt that are the same entity as (or very closely related to) Hermes-Thoth including: (An)Zu, Ninurta/Nimrod/Ninus/Enmer/Emerkar, Marduk/Merodach, Nergal, Baal/Osiris/Tammuz/Adonis/Dionysus/Bacchus, Enki/Ea/Eyah/Yahweh/Lucifer/Ra/Sungod/Lightbearer and even the Mason's Hiram Abiff. I would like to suggest, instead of Hermes, two of the greatest hermetic teachers in history: Thomas H Burgoyne's "The Light of Egypt: v. 1: The Science of the Soul and the Stars" - a great classic work of mystical enlightenment and Russell Walter's "A New Concept of the Universe". For those interested in truths, I also suggest Tsarion, a deep thinker of our time about ancient secrets, who shows (for example)how the Emerald Tablets actually refer to the tarot. Not in the variations the tarot is known of today, but its original form, involving a mixture of kabala, tarot, numerology and astrology, which he explains are sister disciplines. You can learn more about this (free) from Tsarion himself - there are hours and hours of Tsarion on youtube, mostly fascinating. If you are interested in the bible, read the books by Ralph Ellis, who proves that the Old Testament is a thinly disguised account of some of the Pharoahs of Egypt. For much much more on the secrets of "pre"history than 99.99 per cent of us can possibly glean from this book, see Lana Cantrell's "Greatest Story Never Told" which is available free on the internet - verbose but amazing in parts. As for Jordan Maxwell's "The Brotherhood of the Illes" - another blow-your-mind book available free on the internet... and Santos Bonacci (starting with As Above so Below' (especially part 2) and with 'Sovereignty-Roman Law'... well you need to experience them for yourself.

This review is from: The Emerald Tablets of Thoth-The-Atlantean (Hardcover)
I truly enjoyed this book. It was valuable in understanding the origins of the Egyptian Dynasty and the building of the Great Pyramid. Doreal offers a direct translation of the content of the tablet and then gives his interpretation which is very helpful. Thoth, also called Hermesis a remarkable teacher who is the author of 40,000 books. I highly recommend it to persons searching for the truth.

This review is from: The Emerald Tablets of Thoth-The-Atlantean (Hardcover)
Anyone with normal intelligence will first ask for the sources of the amazing claims of the origin of the book. There are no sources given, and no details are given about how the manuscript was found and where it exists. In effect, it's like Joseph's Smith's mythic tablets for The Book of Mormon, which fundamentalist thinkers never question. Reading the book makes it clear, I believe, to a normal discerning reader that it is not of ancient origin. Still, it's fun to read through sections, but aggravating that yet another mystical book is accepted by enthusiastic readers who, like people following a religion, never question who actually wrote the book, where it was found, or who owns the original now.
