All-In-All a good book for an EMT-B Course,

The book is pretty straight forward and has decent presentations for learning the skills necessary to become a National Registered EMT-B.The book tends to be slightly redundant in certain areas when page references would have worked better. Some inconsistencies were discovered using the companion Workbook, but nothing the instructors couldn't get past. Actually, it was further encouragement for the students to finish their assignments diligently while "hunting" for more inconsistencies. All-in-all, I like the book, and I'm anxious to get my hands on the instructor material that accompanies this student textbook when I start teaching this course.

This book shows you step by step on how to perform the duties of an EMT. From the legal issues, to the parts of the body, to patient assessment, to death, this book covers all the necessary topics of what EMT's will do on a regular basis. No matter how much training an EMT will get, they will not be prepared for every situation they encounter, but this book is a good tool to gain the knowledge on how to deal with most emergenices. It explains in detail and shows helpful pictures of things that are needed for one to know for the EMT course. Also there are questions at the end of each chapter to test you on the material you just read. I highly recommended this book for anyone who plans to become an EMT or just wants to learn about emergency patient care.
