I purchased this hose directly from Emergegency Essentials, not Amazon. The hose does not work at all due to inferior packaging. The way its packaged it causes the hose to kink permanately. I tried squeezing the kinks out and even tried to heat them to know avail. Don't waste your money on this product, it does not work. I tried to leave a reveiw on Emergency Essentials website but they would not publish it. I ended up purchasing a hose from Home Depot which has a larger diameter and works great.

Bought this for our 55 gal. drinking water drums. Some of our barrels had a big screw on top so we were able to ladle water out in the past. We bought some new drums that have the "bung" type opening which made water removal a huge pain. This siphon works perfect for getting to the water, you can fill up a five gallon bucket pretty quick and you don't have to expose the clean water to contamination by a garden hose outside or putting your mouth in contact with one end of the hose. We keep the hose in a clean freezer bag inbetween uses to keep things clean. Works great.

Bought this after seeing the demo video on Emergency Essentials website. Using it for siphoning water out of our 55 gal. emergency water barrels. Have used a hand pump, but this item makes the job more easier. Easy to use...just shake several times to get the water flowing. Highly recommend for those individuals storing emergency water.
