1.0 out of 5 stars Warning: Game May Cause Severe Frustration, May 14, 2008
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Emergency Mayhem (Video Game)
I was really excited to see this game being made. I thought it would be Crazy Taxi meets Wario Smooth Moves. Two of my favorite games. I rented the game, and I was very disappointed. The idea of the game is to choose to be a firefighter, police officer, or paramedic, find emergencies in town, which are mini games, and reduce them. Great concept, but the game play wasn't good.

The controls were VERY difficult, in both how you control the vehicles and in game play. There are arrows guiding the direction to go, but I found those to be difficult as well. Many times I ended up driving in circles, going to the same "Emergency", or hitting dead ends. Many times I couldn't hit the target. I would end up going past it. When you try and back up, it would go too far. Controls were very sensitive. The few mini games I actually got to were either too easy or difficult to understand what to actually do. The entire time, an annoying dispatcher is blathering about how terrible you are doing. Very frustrating and overall boring.

2.0 out of 5 stars Difficult to control, not fun at all, May 10, 2008

This game uses nunchuck for controlling the vehicle's direction and A / B for backward / forward. There is no options to customize the game control.

Although I enjoyed "Wild World: African Safari" which uses similar controls. I found it very difficult to direct the vehicles in this game. I don't how software designer came up such an awkward idea as the game will be much easier to play if only the wiimote is used (e.g. either like the control in Need for Speed, or Super Paper Mario).

Nothing sucks worse then getting a new game system with only one game.

I got my kid sister a wii, and I bought this game to bulk up the package. To the best of my knowledge, this game has never been used, but considering it was only a couple bucks out of almost $400 it was good for what it did: making it look like there were more games. Please note I got this used for like 4 bucks.
