In love..., June 28, 2011
This review is from: Emergency EMT Paramedic Insignia Rescue and Safety Knife with Matte Black Stainless Steel Blade and Knurled Aluminum case handy for Hunting, Camping and outdoors enthusiasts. (Misc.)
This is a good knife... ya know? When you open the package and the product slides out, the weight is right... the feel is right... and you know you made a good buy. The knife is strong... the blade is sharp right out of the box. The range of motion is loose, but it won't open up in your pocket, easily opens and closes with one hand. The blade lock holds fast, but is easy to push in and place the blade back. I've already tested the seat belt cutter on some old seats by my work... like buttah'. I've never seen a seat belt cutter work so well without a little sharpening up front. I haven't had a chance to use the glass breaker, but I am confident, if it is anything like the rest of the knife, it will perform wonderfully.
You will not go wrong with this knife... simple... reliable... effective.

Outstanding quality for the price, March 4, 2010
This review is from: Emergency EMT Paramedic Insignia Rescue and Safety Knife with Matte Black Stainless Steel Blade and Knurled Aluminum case handy for Hunting, Camping and outdoors enthusiasts. (Misc.)
This is a fantastic knife for the price (barely 2 digits!). It's all metal and very strong, but doesn't feel particularly heavy. The handle has good grip texture and a flow-through design. The lock-up is very solid, and it came nice and sharp. The best part though, is that it opens almost effortlessly. It has enough resistance so that it won't open on its own when you shake it, but a gentle flick of your thumb will open it reliably. The lock is also easy enough to disengage that it's comfortable to close one-handed.
As far as the special features, the seat belt cutter also came quite sharp and the handle provides a good grip in all orientations so you can use it however you need to.
I consider this knife far superior to the Smith & Wesson SWFR First Response Knife I ordered at the same time. Compared to my KA-BAR Dozier Folding Spear Blade it's a little larger and heavier, but opens easier.

Very Pleased!, September 23, 2011
This review is from: Emergency EMT Paramedic Insignia Rescue and Safety Knife with Matte Black Stainless Steel Blade and Knurled Aluminum case handy for Hunting, Camping and outdoors enthusiasts. (Misc.)
I got my knife about a day before I expected it to come. When I opened the package the blade was already sharp (but I added my own touches because I like to carry around razor sharp blades). The seatbelt cutter works amazingly, and don't underestimate the window busting knob....It works very well as well. I hope you enjoy this product as much as I do!
