Excellent book with beautiful images... one of the better EM books I have seen. I loved the case based approach. A must have for any EM doc. If I am not mistaken, the other reviews are for a different text... the older radiology textbook.

As a 4th year Medical Student interested in internal medicine, I used this book during my radiology elective. It was an excellent case based approach to learning the essentials of radiology. An easy to follow descriptive approach began each section and was reinforced by the cases that followed. This book provided me with an excellent ability to read films and the confidence that I am not missing key findings.

Excellent Introduction to Radiology,
This review is from: Emergency Radiology: Case Studies (Hardcover)
I'm a 4th year medical student heading in to emergency medicine. I read this book during my radiology elective and found it extremely helpful. Dr. Schwartz's very readable case-based text was an insightful introduction in to basic radiology. The book taught me HOW to read many common studies as well as WHERE to focus. Highly recommended to all who could use a broad introduction to emergency (and general) radiology.

I love this book. I'm a 1st year med student, but I worked as an RN in the ED for a few years and so I have an appreciation for the ability to correctly read and interpret rad studies, but very limited in my own skills. If you like case studies and want to improve your rad skills, this book is for you. Explanations are clear, examples are thorough, and the images are good quality. Great way to be introduced to radiologic images.
