2.0 out of 5 stars Emergency survival guide, October 27, 2011

The description of the book tells you the list of subjects that the book will cover. It is completely true, except that each section of the book has about 2 pages of basic information that most 10 year old children could tell you. It contains nothing but fluff; save extra water but no specific info; save extra food but doesn't tell how to prepare or preserve. No firm instructions. It would be better to spend an equal amount of money on extra toilet paper or take a first aid class. Good luck

4.0 out of 5 stars Good resource, very concise and to the point., August 26, 1999

This book gives great tips in a concise and easy to read manner. My biggist complaint is the demonstration of opening the airway(for CPR) is incorrect. The hand under the neck is dangerous and should not be used. The correct form is the "chin lift" with the fingers on the chin. This was changed in 1987.
