5.0 out of 5 stars Emerging Worship, September 15, 2008
This review is from: Emerging Worship: Becoming a Part of the Sound and Song of Heaven (Paperback)
This is the best book I have yet to read on defining the current transitional state of worship in the Body of Christ. It is a must read for anyone seeking that deep place where God speaks and His kingdom authority is released though worship. It puts past and current trends into a spiritual perspective and gives a framework for the next move of God. I really like that fact that Roland never discounts the moves, motivation, or focus of the past trends. He simply says there is more. You are left to decide if you wish to continue as you have been (which is ok) or press into that place of the unknown. It really is an inspired book. I actually found myself periodically looking at Warton's small picture on the back of the book as I was reading, thinking how did this young guy get soo much revelation? You knew it had to be God. Then I tried to search him out on the internet and found that he really is a "nameless faceless" sort of guy. He might have a small web presence, but he is clearly not building his own kingdom. That sealed it for me. If you are a worship leader or a worshipper, I encourage you to read this book. It has really messed me up (in a good way).

5.0 out of 5 stars Entering into Apostolic Worship as a Lifestyle, September 15, 2008
This review is from: Emerging Worship: Becoming a Part of the Sound and Song of Heaven (Paperback)
In "Emerging Worship" Roland Worton leads the reader into a greater awareness of the presence of God as he introduces and celebrates the sounds of heaven and the emergence of the "Soundforger." Worton's vision is Global in scope, three dimensional in function, and reestablishes the tabernacle of David as a model for corporate worship with the multidimensional expression of priestly, prophetic apostolic worship.

Roland reminds the reader that the Apostle John was exposed to the sounds of heaven and records the experience to give us insight in the book of Revelation. These sounds of heaven include: the voice of the Father, the Bridegroom, and the angels.

Worton introduces the concept of understanding the realm of Christ's government to relate Kingdom principles to the mission of the church today to understand the decrees and declarations (Heaven's Word) of the Apostolic Church today. Roland discusses how strategic purpose, societal transformation, and intercession, will all be a part of the transition to this emerging worship.

I appreciated the thorough research and comprehensive end notes. Roland incorporated the writings and concepts of highly respected leaders within today's apostolic movement. Appendix A was especially helpful. Here Roland listed the priestly Psalms, the prophetic revelatory Psalms, and the governing apostolic Psalms.

"Emerging Worship" is Roland Worton's invitation "to every member of the Body of Christ to permeate your community, city and nation with the sounds and song of Heaven." Important and timely, this is a book that should be read by everyone seeking a fresh vision and experience of the presence of God.

5.0 out of 5 stars emerging worship, September 19, 2008
This review is from: Emerging Worship: Becoming a Part of the Sound and Song of Heaven (Paperback)
Emerging worship gave me new insight and encouraged me to pay better attention to God's heart when praying His will for the earth. The author gave fresh insight on how to seek the leading of the Holy Spririt through intercessory prayer, praise and song. This book will challenge the believer to seek and bring Christ's kingdom to earth as the church waits for His return.

5.0 out of 5 stars Prophetic and Aposttolic Worship, September 1, 2008
This review is from: Emerging Worship: Becoming a Part of the Sound and Song of Heaven (Paperback)
Prophetic and Apostolic Worship is a "must" for a siritual growing church meaning the "body of believers". As one of God's "left handers"(Please see Chapter 9 Emerging Characteristics). I am led to observe, listen and hear from those who lead in such a Spirit-led manner. Roland Worton leads the Way for Change. Change needed and necessary in "these times". Read this "manual" if you desire to know about, listen to, and be guided by his Prophetic and Apostolic Word with the Sounds of Heaven.

This review is from: Emerging Worship: Becoming a Part of the Sound and Song of Heaven (Paperback)
Good book about how God is bringing worship back to the church. God wants His church to become a habitation place for Him that over flows to neighborhoods and nations.
