Grillmasters, light your burners--the Emeril EG300 gas grill takes backyard performance to the next level. Grilling Big

The EG300 offers 589 square inches of total cooking surface, giving you the space and freedom to grill your meats and vegetables together. To capitalize on this space, Viking added four burners that can reach a searing 48,000 BTUs. Even the grilling grate itself delivers more power, with a porcelain coating over a cast-iron core. The porcelain prevents meats from sticking to encourage easy flipping, while the cast-iron core conducts heat efficiently to improve cooking performance. With this combination of space and heat, you can deliver more food fresh off the grill, and more importantly, serve it all at once. No more frantically grilling your corn on the cob while your burgers get cold.

To further simplify multicourse grilling, the grill includes a 150-square-inch electroplated steel warming rack. Just toss your grillables on the warming plate or heat up your burger buns while your meat cooks. The grill ups the "bam" factor even further with seven flavor-generator plates, which capture drippings and sizzle them into pure smoky flavor. The stainless-steel plates also serve as burner drip guards, channeling grease neatly into the drip tray.

Design Details

The EC300 is built to withstand the elements, with stainless, cold roll, and aluminum steel construction. The stainless-steel control panel is also tough, with four pewter-color zinc alloy knobs on an elegant landing ledge design. To make prep easier, the grill includes two side-shelf prep areas with drink storage, dry storage, and an NSF-approved foldout cutting board, transforming your patio into a fully functional kitchen. The grill even includes a condiment/paper towel caddy and four accessory tool hooks, keeping the essentials handy.

Other features include a removable "tray within a tray" drip tray on roller-bearing glides for easy cleanup; 10-inch rubber wheels with inboard locking casters for easy mobility; front-side access to the LP tank for easy loading and removal; an electric ignition system; and a stainless-steel hood with cast-aluminum end caps.

Product Description

Grillmasters, light your burners. The Emeril gas grill takes backyard performance to the next level. Everything from flavor to function has been rethought and reengineered. The result is a gas grill that could only have been approved by Emeril. The burners deliver serious muscle - four of them reaching a searing 48,000 BTU's. Even the grilling grate itself delivers more power. Its porcelain coating conducts heat better and resists staining. To capitalize on all this grilling power, you get a tremendous 589 square inches of cooking area. So you can deliver more food, hot and on time. And to up the "bam" factor even further, Emeril has added seven flavor-generator plates. These capture drippings and sizzle them into pure smoky flavor. This isn't just any gas grill. This is Emeril's gas grill.

I just purchased the Emeril Gas Grill by Viking, and it is a great product! To begin, the assembly was very simple and straightforward. The manual was easy to follow, and the total assembly time was less that 90 minutes. They even provide all the tools you need to put it together!

Once built, the unit is very solid. Many of the side pieces are powder-coated and look like they will last a really long time. The stainless steel panels were all in perfect shape. The grill looks MUCH better in person than the photos show.

The performance so far is outstanding! The heat bars below the cast iron grills provide very even heating, and the unit heats up very quickly....and it cooks great! Threw some chicken on last night and it came out moist and delicious.

The price is $200 less than the Weber I was looking at, and the Viking grill is bigger, and I own other Viking products that are all very high quality.

I would suggest a cover option....other than that, a great grill at a great price!

All we could ask for... November 21, 2011

We did extensive research for a new grill. Had a Holland for 11 years, but needed something new. The information provided online for the Emeril Viking grill sounded almost too good to be true, but we found it to meet all our expectations and then some... For years, our Holland grill took 15-20 minutes to heat to a good cooking temperature and then required us to be at the grill for 30 minutes or more depending on what we grilled. The Emeril Viking heats in about 3 minutes. The 4 burners do the trick and how... the grill cooks evenly and very quickly. Everything we have cooked so far (including burgers, steaks, chicken, shish-ka-bobs, and even jalapeno poppers) have been grilled to perfection... we didn't know what we were missing - WOW...

We couldn't be more pleased with our new grill. There are a couple of downers, though... one was the assembly. Assembly claimed to take 45 minutes - that's a bit off. I am not a novice with tools and it took me about 1 1/2 hours, so make sure you have the time to put it together... The only other negative is moving the grill around. It has wheels but doesn't like uneven surfaces at all... be careful when rolling it on a brick patio or similar surface - you could encounter unwanted results...

Overall this is the best grill we have ever owned... we would definitely recommend it...
