Despite giving Emeril's Big Easy Bold five stars, I think it only fair to open with a couple of negative points. First, if you're looking for authentic New Orleans style coffee, you'll likely be disappointed by the lack of chicory root. Frankly, I doubt that most coffee drinkers will mourn the lost chicory. Second, this coffee is a concentrated dark roast; if you're fan of light roasts and mild coffees, this variety will probably taste ashy and too strong.

We just started using our Keurig B40 last week, and the first few k-cups I tried were disappointingly watery. The Emeril's Big Easy Bold is one of the few blends I've found that provides a full-bodied cup of coffee without any harsh overtones and without any nasty, bitter after-taste. Made with a single varietal (Colombian-grown arabica), Emeril's Big Easy Bold brews up with a rich cocoa aroma and a thin trace of crema. The flavor includes caramel, chocolate, and fruity notes with a hint of pepperiness, but the chocolate note lingers in the finish.

I don't add sugar or cream to my coffee, but I doubt that either addition would detract from the overall experience. Excellent with scones.

I am disappointed with this coffee and am not looking forward to finishing it before I get another bold variety. It does make a bold cup of of coffee-- which is hard to find with a lot of k-cups, but it has a very bitter aftertaste.

if you love a bold cup of coffee you will not find a better product than this one. The only problem I have had is with the availability, and the lentgh of time it takes to actually recieve my order. In fact the last time I tried to order they postponed shipping twice, so I ended up canceling the order via amazon and ordered the same product from coffeegiant dot com. They seem to be able to ship in a timely manner and the cost was equivalent.

This is not terrible, but there are better k cups out there. This does have a "bite" to it, is a bit bitter for my taste. We prefer the Coffee People's Black Tiger or Timothy's Midnight Magic for a strong cup that is less bitter. Also, these are labeled here as 25 packs, but they are 24 packs.

This is great coffee, but NOT worth the exaggerated price. I bought 48 for $26 in Oct. 2010, now it is almost double that --costing almost $1 a cup !
I will enjoy Timothy's K-cups that are more reasonable and just as good.

I am a dark-roast coffee drinker, and this is my new favorite K-cup. Not only is it roasted dark (but not burnt) but it is also very full-bodied and not at all watered-down or weak like some k-cups are.

We got a Keurig system last year for Christmas. It has been great. I however, like coffee that has body, strength and depth. Most K-cups are way too weak for me. Note: I use a fair bit of milk in my coffee, so that colors my interpretations.

I tried Emeril's Big Easy Bold since I am constantly on the lookout for 'bold' coffee. It does not disappoint. This is a very good cup of coffee, it has the strength I like, and the body one is used to from brewed coffee. It does have a pronounced Parisian roast flavor (my husband calls it 'cigarette ash' flavor) which is normal for New Orleans style coffee. If you like that Parisian roast taste you will like this coffee. It is not for the faint hearted!

If you like mild coffee, this is not the choice for you. But if you like real strong, flavorful coffee, then you will love this. It is what I expect from coffee from Louisiana. I highly recommend it.

I love bold coffee, and I drink it black so it has to be good, no cream or flavored powders or sweeteners, just a cup of black coffee. Emeril's is a dark roast, full bodied, great mid morning pick me up

Love this coffee.. extra dark and bold flavor. Noone who drinks it here every guesses it is not the real thing. Good Luck Emeril!!! The Gulf Coast misses you!!!!
