4.0 out of 5 stars Great pan with a few exceptions, October 9, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Emerilware Nonstick 5-Quart Saut? Pan with Lid (Kitchen)
The Emerilware Nonstick 5-Quart Saute Pan is a pleasure to cook with. The nonstick surface is very durable and requires little to no fat when cooking. It heats up evenly, even on a medium to low heat.

The only downside to the pan is that it is quite heavy. The weight of the pan makes it cumbersome to clean. I have also noticed that the outside of the pan tends to scratch easily, but this does not affect the performance of the pan.

For the price, the Emerilware nonstick pans are a great buy!

I've had this for a bit over a year. The quality is outstanding. My only complaint is that it's a bit heavy to maneuver with one hand. Fortunately there is another handle opposite the main one, which make the process easier.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this pan!, February 16, 2005

Get this, don't even think about it, just buy it! It's really that great of a pan. It is heavy, which makes it almost a wrist-turner when you're trying to drain something but that just makes it a job for my husband sometimes! It's honestly not that bad - you can do it easily with the extra handle on the sides. I just love this pan - I too went out and replaced all my other nasty QVC pans with these Emeril pans. I've had them a year and they're just as beautiful as they were the day I received them (and boy, the day they arrived sure was a happy day!). Finally, a pan that cooks beautifully, burns nothing, the Teflon doesn't flake, and the thing holds and armyload of food. Great stuff!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous - doesn't warp, September 15, 2005

I've been using this pan for 5 months on a flat electric stovetop. It hasn't warped at all and it works perfectly for cooking that requires a non-stick surface. It is my second pan from the Emerilware line (non-stick) and they are both fantastic. My only minor complaint is that the handle on the lid gets very hot (!), but it's a small price to pay for such a good pan. Also, this pan is quite reasonably priced for its size and weight.

5.0 out of 5 stars Workhorse of my kitchen!, June 21, 2003

This is the most wondrous piece of cookware I have ever owned. It has everything going for it: even heating, large size, long stay-cool handle, dripless pouring, absolutely THE BEST non-stick, super-easy clean-up, attractive appearance. I use this pan so much that I never put it away in a cabinet...it stays out on top of my stove all of the time. No problem, because it is a beauty! Yes, it is heavy, but the helper handle makes it manageable when washing. Because of its heavy, solid construction, I have never burned anything in this pan. This pan was my first Emerilware purchase. Experiencing its virtues caused me to replace my entire collection of pots and pans with Emerilware. I HIGHLY recommend both the nonstick and stainless lines.
