Celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse kicks it up another notch with this stainless-steel cookware collection, following the success of his nonstick collection. Bam! This straight-sided 4-quart saucepan is a lustrous example of the stainless-steel collection, which is made by renowned cookware manufacturer All-Clad. Its heavy-gauge, 18/10 stainless steel is polished to a mirror finish outside and blessed with a satin finish inside to conceal utensil marks. To distribute heat uniformly and maintain it, there's a thick aluminum disk on the bottom covered in stainless steel so the pan works on any stovetop, including induction. For elegance, the disk's edge is clad in copper.
Displaying Emeril's signature, the pan's cast-stainless-steel handles (stick and loop) are riveted for strength and have thumb rests. The stick handle has a hanging hole. Handles stay cool on the stovetop but won't be harmed by an oven's highest heat. The pan's lip flares to facilitate dripless pouring. Made of tempered glass, the lid allows cooking to be monitored without releasing heat. A stainless-steel band around the edge prevents chipping and ensures a tight fit. Although Emerilware Stainless cookware is dishwasher-safe, hand washing is recommended. It carries a lifetime warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

I added this sauce pan to my cookware collection recently. I was looking for stainless steel because I feel that for a saucepan this is the best option for making soups, sauces, etc. Non-sticks just don't do it for me. This pan looks and performs wonderfully. It heats evenly and cooks sauces without any hot spots. The pan has a triple bottom, aluminum, stainless steel and a small strip of copper which gives it a stylish look. The glass lid is also a nice feature because it allows you to view your food without haveing to remove the lid. This comes in handy when you are preparing rices or any other type of dishes that require the lid be kept on at all times. Clean up is also a breeze. The pan is made by all-clad, but does not come with their steep price. You can't beat the value. Emeril's cookware is top notch quality and is my favorite because it performs well and is reasonably priced.

I love these stainless steel pots. They cook beautifully and are very easy to clean. The copper insert creates even heat for good cooking. They will last a lifetime.

This item is really teriffic! The only negative is its weight (if you can consider that a negagtive!). I knew it would be heavy as I already have the 3qt pan. It cooks very well on lower heat and cleans and shines like new with just a little effort.
