5.0 out of 5 stars Best I've ever used, beats Calphalon
I bought one of these cookie sheets to try it out, and was very pleased with the results. Cookies bake evenly without browning on the bottom, it fits lots of cookies at once, the cookies come off easily, and cleanup is very easy. I owned Calphalon cookie sheets before this, and they weren't worth the price--difficult to clean, and a buildup resulted that I couldn't scrub...

1.0 out of 5 stars Cooks Illustrated Gets It Right - Again!!!!
I purchased this cookie sheet a few months ago. It looks great, but as your mother told you looks are not everything. The first time I used it I heard this tremendous pop from my oven as it warped out of shape. If you don't line it, everything sticks. In short it is a disaster. I purchased this cookie sheet a few months ago. It looks great, but as your mother told you looks are not everything. The first time I used it I heard this tremendous pop from my oven as it warped out of shape. If you don't line it, everything sticks. In short it is a disaster. My wife then pointed me to the May/June issue of Cooks Illustrated. Various cookie sheets were rated from highly recommended to not recommended. This Emerilware sheet was at the top of the not recommended. "The texturized surface slowed browning, the handle is on the wrong side, cookies stuck horribly when unlined and warping was a serious problem."

Do yourself a favor and purchase the Vollrath 17" by 14" cookie sheet. The only one highly recommended by Cooks Illustrated. I know that I am.

I owned Calphalon cookie sheets before this, and they weren't worth the price--difficult to clean, and a buildup resulted that I couldn't scrub off without damaging the sheet. I highly recommend this cookie sheet. I've never had any warping and I've used the sheet regularly for two years. I am back now to buy another one, and retire the last of my old Calphalons (I was alternating between the Emerilware and the Calphalon with each batch of cookies I baked, but my Emerilware cookies always came out better).

5.0 out of 5 stars great cookie sheet, December 19, 2009

For what it's worth, this is the first review I have made. It is in response to one of the reviews online where the women was very negative and thought the cookie sheet the worst ever. I completly disagree, and so do others, as it is out of stock and you can't get one without a long wait. I love the ways things don't stick, how evenly the cookies are browned, and how the sheet provides such a uniform heating surface. It cleans up niceoy too. I gave my son and his wife one and they love it.I would buy two more if I could and throw my others away. It is a little priceybut quality always wins out.

throughout the 30 years that I have been baking cookies for my family; and this is, by far, the best one I have ever used. It produces an evenly-baked cookie that never burns and that is easy to lift off the pan. I ordered just one at first to try it and liked it so much that I now own FOUR of them. Plus, they are oversized enough to fit more than just a dozen which decreases both the amount of time the oven needs to be on and the amount of time you spend baking.
