I bought this in November 2012 for a little less than this offered price on another website. It's a very nice, lightweight, tablet, with a very cool operating system and a front-facing camera. HOWEVER, I had NO LUCK connecting to the my wifi, thus the internet, making it worthless. Now I have other devices, such as an iPod Touch and an Apple laptop, and I've never had an issue connecting to my wifi router. In fact those devices also see several other wifi's in my neighborhood. This Emerson tablet never saw any of them. It just searched and searched and never stopped searching and never found a thing. I even manually input my wifi with password, when I was sitting right in front of it, and it said, "not in range". I hope if you buy this item, you have better luck. I'm sending it back. I only gave it two stars because I liked the lightness and ease of use of the operating system. Otherwise it;s a 1 star. Good luck.

It is not the best tablet we have ever used, but for this price, I can't complain at all. The touch-screen sensitivity is a little tricky .. Sometimes it works too well, sometimes it doesn't work well enough. I bought these for my daughters and they can use them for math practice, research, gaming, and chatting with friends .. The tablets are just what we needed.

I am a newbie as far as tabs are concerned. This was my first tab. This is a great little tab if you want to see what they about. It is not super sophisticated or fast or sharp resolution, but it works.

This tab was good for me to learn on. I will be in the market for a more powerful tab soon. I'll probably end up giving this one to a teenager.

I used this a lot for audio books, Kindle books, YouTube, edocs in PDF or Kindle format and several other simple apps. It plays MP3s. I ran the Kindle app with it, and the Overdrive app with it more than anything. I used it a lot for ebooks from my public library, both audio and written. The resolution was plenty sharp enough for reading ebooks, even in the smallest text setting.

The touch screen froze several times. I had to use a pin or paperclip to push into the reset hole in the back to fix it. Has only front face cam, no rear cam so you can't easily take photos with it.

A great feature on this one that is missing from pretty much any other much more expensive tab is the placement of the control buttons and ports. The power button, volume control, headphone jack, usb port and micro-sd card slot are all situated on one of the vertical edges of the tab. This is extremely convenient. It makes it really easy to have the tab permanently in a case and you're still able to have a headphone attached and the power/usb port occupied. You can adjust the volume right there too. I don't know why the more expensive tabs do not have so logical an arrangement.

Also the speaker on this tab is really loud if you need to play something for another person, or if you can't use headphones. The full volume sound is louder than more expensive tabs.

My grandson said that he likes it very much. It pretty much does the same thing as a computer to play his games so he is happy.
