I have not bought a new package of AA batteries since I got this, and we normally go through them like water. I have successfully extended the life of at least eight sets of batteries.

I checked with my meter--it brings batteries as low as 1.4 VDC back up to 1.51 or 1.52 VDC (new, they tend to be at 1.54 VDC). I have several sets of batteries I've recharged at least three times and they are still working fine.

The key is following the directions: do not wait until the batteries are dead. Emerson states it will not work with completely dead batteries.

I have been using these chargers for years. Thanks to Amazon, I can sometimes pick up more as needed. They are great and batteries last longer with this charger than with any other I have tried.

The product seems to work. I had a huge pile of Alkaline Battery's which I would soon drop in a green bin. They all seemed to re-charge and am now using them in a portable radio.The recharge was very fast and took little effort.

Delivery was very fast. I have never received a package from the east coast in such a fast time.

This charger absolutely will not do the job advertised. I bought some brand new NIMH Batteries D type and followed directions to a T and this product never did recharge my batteries even after 48 hours. Don't waste your money.

I have been pleased with the performance of this unit from the start. It charges 4 different sizes of alkaline, nicad and nimh batteries. We use batteries like water with 4 children. This unit has already saved us a great deal of money. Used properly, it charges very quickly and so easy to use with clear indicator lights that show the charging process through to completion. It even continued working after it was dropped on a concrete floor. I would definitely buy this product again.

I am not even sure if this recharger works properly. I have tried to recharge several sets (of different) C cell batteries and I have yet to ever get the green light indicating that the recharge is complete--even after waiting a week with one set. This unit did appear to recharge some C cell Ni-Cad batteries but did not appear to recharge some C cell rechargeable alkalines or standard alkalines--even though it claims to be able to recharge them. I cannot recommend it.
