Emerson Hot Wheels Rock N¿ Race boombox is a fun way for boys to listen to their favorite music. Rock N¿ Race boombox features Hot Wheels trademark racing flames on the speakers giving it a fast and sporty look. Insert car key into ¿ignition¿ and boombox will play 15-second car sound affect. Boombox has top-loading CD player compatible with CD-R and RW discs and has a programmable memory. Large play, forward, reverse and stop buttons make it easy to control the different functions. Boombox has one track repeat, all tracks repeat and high-speed music search and features a LED indicator to display different modes. Boombox has rotary controls for radio tuning and volume control and slide controls for band and function selection. AM antenna is built-in and boombox has telescoping FM antenna. Boombox features 3-inch dynamic speakers that offer a powerful sound or listen to music by inserting headphones into headphone jack. My son loves this radio! It seems built well enough, provided you don't 'play' with it. He brought me the radio antennae the other day, but I suspect it wasn't the radio's fault.

I bought this for my almost 4 yr old son for Christmas and he has loved it. The knob on the side that makes car sounds is really cute. Overall, very pleased with this purchase. However, I did find it at Walmart after I purchased it thru Amazon for $35 and then closer to Christmas it was marked down even more to $25. Still a great boombox!

My son recieved this for his 3rd birthday in April. We were looking for a cd player for his room so he could listen to soft music at bedtime. Sometimes we turn up the volume during play time and there is (what's supposed to look like) a key in the ignition that he can turn and the announcer will interupt whatever cd is playing to say something like 'Gentleman start your engines' then you hear a racecar speed away - He LOVES this! He's a big fan of the Cars movie, that's the whole theme of his room and this boombox fits right in.
