Emerson The Magnificent!
What a delight... though I thought it unlikely that a bicycle could do much to unravel some complicated issues, my skepticism was outvoted. It really doesn't matter how old you are, Emerson talks to you. Dwight Ritter's illustrations made me smile as much as his story warmed my heart. Emerson's message challenged my thinking, then threw me a lifeline, reeled me in and rescued me. Get it! Read it! Give it to everyone you know!

I had the pleasure of reading Emerson the Magnificent when the book was still in draft stages. Even then, it provided a delightful story with an impact. Emerson is a timeless book, one that can be enjoyed by both the young and old. Mr. Ritter's illustrations are wonderful. Vicki Tieche

Emerson the Magnificent

"A charming little book for young and old" written across the cover of BBC's own Dwight Ritter's book belies its profound exploration of faith - having it, losing it, and finding it again. Charming, yes; little, no.
Through the colorful adventures of a little boy named Tom and his new red Coleman Super Glider bicycle named Emerson the Magnificent, we see the purity of a child's faith. For Emerson talks with Tom as good friends do. Tom accepts Emerson's friendship, love, and support as offered, without questioning.
