Much better than the manual version! This is my second Pro Tech Knife and I am more than pleased with it's quality, build, and edge. When you first hold the knife and inspect it; it looks very plain and non-intimidating. But actuate the blade release button; and you will feel the powerful "pop" of a Protech blade as the knife opens.

The edge is sharp and tough (much like the knife itself). And the design is the same as the manual version of the CQC-7B minus the G10 handle and manual thumb stud. The jimping on the blade is good for forward (normal) grips only... holding in an ice pick (reverse) grip works; but lacks the stability since there is no jimping on the butt of the handle.

I am actually considering buying another to collect. I'm pretty sure that this blade will be my new EDC.
