5.0 out of 5 stars Simple, affordable, and sounds great !
If you're looking for a nice, compact, retro, simplistic 'throwback' table radio - this is the one. Perfect for a kitchen or bedroom - simple enough for mom to use and enjoy. The sound- while not Bose quality - is very clean and crisp. FM sensitivity for a tabletop is excellent. Add in the AUX input and headphone input - and they have a WINNER. The only drawback is the AM...

3.0 out of 5 stars Does the job
It's not a fancy radio, but since I only use it in the kitchen it works. I thought about getting a Tivoli, but I really couldn't justify spending that much in mind for something that I was going to listen to while I cleaned the kitchen. Plus, I am only listening to NPR and it does an adequate job. Really, it just looks a little snazzier than comparable models. You...

Good sound, nice "RETRO" design, takes up minimal space, easy to use, AM/FM stations. Value for price.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good value for money, but not great quality., March 28, 2006
This review is from: Emerson Simplicity High Fidelity AM/FM Table Radio – NR30
I had this radio a year before it stopped working. The sound quality was good, and I liked the simplicity of of the design. The customer service at Emerson definitely has room for improvement however, and after dealing with them I don't think I'll buy another radio from them. I'm willing to pay a little more for a radio that will last longer and come with good customer service.

I have two of these radios and both have the same problem--the AM/FM switch allows both bands at first but soon, only FM will hold its tuning. I have returned one to the company but the replacement had the same flaw, If you only want FM, its not bad for the price---but what about Rush Limbaugh?

1.0 out of 5 stars A very annoying radio, November 25, 2006
This review is from: Emerson Simplicity High Fidelity AM/FM Table Radio – NR30
I bought this for my wife when it first came out. The sound and reception are fine, but it's got a faulty am/fm switch. She listens almost exclusively to AM, but it'll switch to FM on it's own. When we hit it really hard on the top, it'll usually go back to AM. Of course, this didn't begin until the warranty had lapsed. Needless to say, I recommend you look for a different brand.

The radio was faulty so returned to manafactuer and was reimbursded by Amazon, com for postage.
Item was as discribed so am very satisfied by the replacemnt.
Amazon.com's interest in their customers is unprecidented in these times.
Bravo
