We were disappointed, and returned the radio. (Still waiting for notification that we have a credit) The radio was supposed to be NEW, but was not. The projection lens was so scratched that you could not read the projected time. This was a Christmas gift for our grandson. A REAL disappointment!! We know these radios are great, because we have one and love it. However, we were really disappointed to find the NEW radio we bought through Amazon was NOT NEW! Now we are going to have to find another one the is really new for our grandson, and he did not get a satisfactory gift for Christmas. We are usually pleased with what we have gotten from Amazon, so this was an unpleasant surprise.

I have a clock like this and love it, so I decided to get one for my Mother in Law for Mother's Day. When I received the clock, I opened the outside packaging and saw the box was torn, dented, taped, and just looked beat up. I got the clock out and there was no instruction manual, luckily I knew how to set it. When I got it set, the projection worked, but the front display did not work. Half of some numbers didn't light up, and half of others did when they shouldn't have. This item was advertised as new but it absolutely was not. I contacted the seller and received instructions for return. However, they sent a Fed Ex shipping label to return the item and I live in a small town with no Fed Ex facility or drop off anywhere near us. The closest facility is about 150 miles away. If you calculate gas money, I would spend more in gas than the worth of the item. Their return policy states it must be sent by Fed Ex only or I would just pay for return shipping by the USPS myself. Big headache. Would not recommend buying this item unless you can be 100% sure it is new.
