Clock Radio Review,

This clock radio is great! I love being able to set the alarm for my M-F workweek and not worry about having to make any changes on the weekend. The time projection is fabulous! I loved it so much I bought my mom one for Christmas and sent it to her in Florida. She loves it so much that I am going to purchase another one for her place in Illinois so she doesn't have to take one back and forth between her summer/spring place and her fall/winter place. My only complaint would be that the snooze is too close to the bar behind it and I have on a couple of occasions hit the wrong one and overslept!

I just needed a new alarm clock. My old one seemed to be somehow outside of normal space-time and was accelerating at an increasing rate. Fearing that perhaps it was cursed, and also accelerating the time of my death, I unplugged it and figured I'd buy a new one somewhere. Selection is limited in the real world, so I turned to the virtual world of Amazon.com. Mainly, I knew I wanted something more reliable, and not containing any evil spirits. Amazon has a lot of alarm clocks. Tons, in fact. So why did I choose this one? Well, it's been my experience that there are two kinds of alarm clocks. Those with green screens, that undoubtably feature a back, forward, and fast-forward button for setting the time, and those with red screens, that undoubtably feature separate buttons for hours and minutes. Well, this clock is different. It has an orange screen, and it sets the time with magic. Instead of a cursed soul haunting your alarm clock, driving you slowly mad with an accelerating time warp, you get a friendly, helpful spirit, perhaps from an enchanted forest, that loves you, simply requests you input your timezone, and then it takes care of the rest. The clock features two alarms, which is twice as many alarms as many evil clocks, and you set them through the power of holding down a button for while. A plus or minus button.
The clock has a great many features to it, but I think the main thing when buying an alarm clock is not whether it has an aux in, or eleven buttons. The purpose of an alarm clock is to be a clock, and to alarm you into waking up at the appointed hour. Well, there are no disappointments here. The clock has two displays, one projected to your ceiling, and one on the clock face that you'll never look at because now you can look at the ceiling to tell time and that's somehow better. I suspect the friendly wood sprite enclosed in the device is actually gazing upwards at the sky, through your very roof, and then casts its spell on your ceiling to display, in numerical form, what *it* sees. The alarm itself is remarkably gentle. It starts at a low volume, and increases slowly enough as to not cause a cardiac event, instead slowly rousing your attention from your slumber. Again, the benevolence of this clock is apparent. The alarms, as many of them as there are, can also be configured based on the day of the week. Indeed, the clock fairy knows the date, and when your workdays are. What's more, there's no having to remember to turn your alarm on. Turning the alarm off Monday morning just means the noise stops. You don't have to do anything at all, and it'll still go off again on Tuesday. I don't get a terribly good FM signal from this clock, but I prefer the beeping alarm over a radio alarm anyway. I didn't get a good FM signal from my previous alarm clock either, so it could just be me. The clock is also quite large. I guess so it has a nice big screen for you to never look at since the novelty of the time projected on the ceiling never goes away. I would have preferred something smaller, but it's not really a big deal if you have a bigger side table. Overall, the clock face is bright enough to be easily visible, though not so bright as to be a nuisance when trying to sleep. It's got a dimmer switch, anyway. The projected time may not be easily visible on your ceiling when it's bright in your bedroom, so it's more of a thing to stare at when you're lying in bed at 3AM with insomnia, wondering if it's you that's cursed, not your previous alarm clock. If you like to sleep until noon on weekends, you may have go through the woefully obsolete motion of turning your neck to see the time. I should point out that while the time projector display can be flipped upside down, it can't be rotated. It's not actually possible to have the alarm clock facing you, while at the same time the time is displayed in perfect readable format above your head. I guess people are supposed to have their alarm clocks facing their feet, not their heads. I leave the clock facing me, and just turn my head a bit sideways in bed. Anyway, this is without a doubt the most technologically advanced alarm clock I've ever used, and you can tell a lot of attention went into making it hard to oversleep accidentally. If you have power outages sometimes in the middle of the night, forget to turn your alarm back on for the next morning, have a cursed chronometer, or fear the cumulative shocks to the heart every time your existing alarm clock goes off, this alarm clock is probably for you. Sleep well, my friends.

This is a really neat clock.
You plug it in and it automatically sets the time. This will be great when our electric goes out and comes on again. Love the projecting of tine . I can put it to show the time on the ceiling or wall. The sound is good. One of the best things I have ever purchased.

I bought two clock radio's for both my bedrooms mainly because I wanted the ceiling LED clock read out. The clock has lots of neat features. One feature I was hoping for was the LED readout would be able to turn in a 360 degree instead of just moves in one direction. The read out is very clear and large and you can switch the direction of the read out which is great so over all its a very nice clock for the money. THE PROBLEM IS THE QUALITY. THE FIRST TWO CLOCKS I RECEIVED BOTH DID NOT WORK AND WHEN I SENT THEM BACK AND RECIEVED TWO MORE, ONE OF THE NEXT TWO ALSO DID NOT WORK so I Have to say its not worth the aggravation. Nice clock, lousy quality.

I bought this Radio alarm it worked only for 3 days and 2 nights ONLY, it went crazy couple times night time, and even if you press stop it will not, I honestly took the wire off the socket and it kept beeping couple times a day. I am sorry to say that but honesly I do not recommend it at all. It is called Smart because it sets itself whenever it feels like it.

I sent this clock to my elderly, techno-challenged mom - and she loves it. After setting the time zone, the clock did the rest. She raves about the easy-to-read numbers, the adjustable display brightness, and can't live without the time on the ceiling. Looks like I get extra points for this one.

Within 6 weeks, it stopped keeping accurate time (I would set it and within a day it was off by a few minutes. 2 weeks later, the display stopped working. Calling amazon today. Just ordered the Sony ICF-C318 Auto set alarm clock. These are what the rest of my family has. For $14, they are much more reliable.

I'd been using the same alarm clock for the past 20 years. Hey, they last! I love that this one projects the time on the ceiling at night. Also, you can set the alarm for every M-F or Sat-Sun and no worrying about if you forgot to set the alarm. Set it and forget it. It works great!
