My landlord supplied one of these as part of my effiency room rental agreement. As long as you don't need to change the power level or use any advanced controls, it seems to work fine. Maybe it's just the unit I got but the power level control seems to be totally unresponsive. Fine if you can heat everything you need to heat on max power, not so fine for prepared foods that instruct you to cook X minutes on 50% power.

This microwave works great for the price, has all the options you need like Defrost, Speed Defrost, setting different levels, etc. Easy to clean and fits pretty large items.

I've yet to have a problem with it and I've had it for about 2 years or so.

Ours quickly developed the trait of turning itself off if you tried to heat something longer than 1.5 - 2 minutes, especially if you heated 2 or 3 dishes in a row. We should have returned it, but for some reason did not get around to it. It lasted about 2 years and it finally just stopped working at all. The one we had before that - A Sharp in the same price bracket, was much better and lasted longer.

I bought this product from a retail store (thank goodness). The 1st microwave stopped working within a month; I took it back and the retail store exchanged it for a new one off of the shelf. Unfortunately, the day the warranty expired the thing broke. It looked like it was working (lights were on and the table was turning), but it wasn't cooking anything.

I bought it because it was cheap, but I guess I got what I paid for. :(
