This was a mediocre karaoke machine, the microphones seem to be very nice and durable but even with the volume for the microphones turned all the way up you couldn't hear yourself over the music. Not sure if this was just a defective or it's function is just very poor. The directions are very poor as well. I would not recommend this.

Would not recommend to anyone. Will only play the CD it came with, and you can not hear your voice at all while the music is playing.

I just replaced this unit with Voco Pro, for about $100. I wish I would've spent a little more, when I bought the Emerson. This was the second unit I've had. I returned the first one because the cord came out of the mic, after the first use. On the current unit, the corded mic stopped working all together, after just a few months.

The quality with the Voco Pro (VHF3005) is great! Both mics are wireless too.

I was disappointed w/ this DVD karaoke converter. Couldn't get the wireless mic to work, the 30-song DVD it came w/ had awful, cheesy songs, and we couldn't get any other karaoke DVDs to work. I think you actually have to purchase a specific brand in order for it to display the words. I ended up returning it and purchasing a better one for a little more money.
