I found this dish to be high quality at a reasonable price. I used it in my experiments to make spinach gratin prior to Xmas. One of my wife's favorites. The size is just right for several people. Perhaps slightly too big for 2 people. The only downside I would mention is that the dish has 1 pitted defect on the exterior side surface. I selected Amazon over visits to SurLaTable and WilliamsSonoma because SurLaTable didn't have the inventory and I couldn't get waited on or my questions answered at WilliamsSonoma. I noticed Emile Henry was good quality and Amazon offered it at the best price. At the time $24 which was not too expensive for my testing. It is microwave, oven and dishwasher safe. So far so good.

Great for a single serving, or possibly a serving for two, without having to dirty a larger dish with too many leftovers. Has handled the broiler heat so far with no problem. Actually, I've already bought a second one. :-)
