Emile Henry Pie Pans Are the Best
It performs as promised: you can take it from the freezer and put it directly into a preheated oven without harming the dish. Plus, it is beautiful to look at, and my pie edges have never been prettier.

soggy pie
not sure what i am doing wrong, but expected world class pie and my pie came out soggy. IMHO this plate holds no magical properties

This is a very beautiful, quality pie pan. But it's sooooo big. Made a pumpkin pie using the usual can of filling, but it only filled half the pan. It also took much longer an usual to bake I really don't know why. I'll try other pies, like Apple and see it I have better results.

I received this the other day, and while I haven't yet baked in it (hope to do this soon), I have to say that this is one very beautiful piece of stoneware. It will look gorgeous on the table, and I look forward to many years of use baking not only pies but quiches and tarts. A gorgeous addition to my cookware collection!

Though certainly not the cheapest pie dish, it performs perfectly in that it transfers heat evenly in the oven, cleans easily, and looks fantastic in presenting a pie for a dinner party. Truly a special piece for the kitchen.
