This is the perfect size for roasting a medium sized chicken. It is small enough to catch and save the precious jus in the end to make a lovely gravy. Larger roasting pans cause the jus to overheat, sizzle up and evaporate. The appearance is simple and elegant to complement the food and to serve directly at the table. The smooth finish allows easy cleaning, even if it was coated with burned sauce, gravy and cheese.

I wanted a serving bowl for the table,that was a different shape,than a round bowl.This is perfect,the right size to hold a can of vegtables,or fruit.I also have used it to make up single servings of meatloaf and freeze it,perfect from the freezer to the table.Terrific color,and if you don't have any Emile Henry,try one piece and you will be sold,very nice.I am still working on picking up some more,I have not been disapointed yet.

somehow this was much smaller than I had imagined it to be, but it has been very useful for cooking a variety of dishes from chicken to fish. It makes an a pretty serving dish as well, so it can go from oven to table.
