I was so excited to find these bowls on Amazon. We received a set of these 11 years ago when we got married and they have been great. We still have at least two of the originals. Over the years we have tried different bowls but these have lasted and have a great design. They aren't cheap but they are incredibly durable-and attractive too!

I have looked at these for years but never bit. What a waste. I absolutely love them. They seem to be the bowls I reach for always now. They are great additions to my Emile Henry collection.

These bowls are beautiful and well designed; you can't really ask for more. With their glossy white surfaces and elegant profile, they are suitable for guest use and display. Also -- very important for gratin dishware -- they clean like a dream! The baked-on crust of cheese simply glides off under the flow of hot water, assisted by very gentle scrubbing. I was shocked to find that these bowls are more easy to clean than Pyrex, Corningware, and Corelleware, which are my usual go-to standard for fast clean-up.
Each bowl is perfectly sized for a French onion soup portion for lunch with a salad or perhaps some quiche. The bowls are not large enough for a standalone entree-sized dinner portion. |
