So beautiful, so tough!,

Our family loves these plates. Though heavy, they are beautifully proportioned and add a welcome spark to the dinner table. Some of our "softer" ceramic pieces have nicks and flea bites from being tossed from table to dishwasher to cupboard; not these. I was annoyed when I first saw my husband cut with gusto into a steak he had plopped onto a plate; my annoyance faded when after a turn through the dishwasher it was impossible to tell which plate he had abused (I do NOT recommend this treatment; it is just that I am amazed that he got away with it!).Any of the Emile Henry colors will be at home in a casual, busy kitchen; food served on them "pops" and looks especially appetizing. Over thirty or so years in my own kitchen, I have collected many different dishes from around the world. These hard-working plates are my favorites.

These plates are so beautiful, they liven up any dish. They're sturdy, functional ... what more can you ask for? I love them and can't wait for more.
