They're tiny! I know the size is clearly stated in the description, but I still pictured them being slightly larger then what they actually are. Quality is excellent. Just don't expect to be able to put more than a single scallop per dish. I was going to set a large grilled prawn on each one, but I can see now that isn't going to happen without some really creative thinking and additional plating. These dishes would work well for about a tablespoon of cocktail sauce, or an individual serving of caviar with toast perhaps. Definitely a winner for amuse bouche. I really do like these little shell plates, but have to take a star away for size. Slightly bigger would make them much more functional, especially since they're made to bake in.

We produce certified extra vergin olive oil and I'm always looking for unique ways of serving it to my guests. The little shell dishes look so nice on my table and they are a good size for dipping. Everyone has their own dish so "double dipping" isn't a problem.
