The basic approach of this cooking method may related to access to water resources in desert environ. However, the stew like features are attractive and food texture works. Of particular attractiveness are the flavors associated with the Moroccan and other North African recipes. Great stuff. I thought the size might be a bit large but my wife's insistence on this larger size won out. She was right. Works for family of three and for larger dinner party. Not a huge capacity -- just right for family, in my opinion. Quality of items is good. Packed and shipped well. No damage at all. And, opened the doors to new cuisine for us.

If you cook Tunisian food, this is a beautiful Tagine and extremely well made. A bit expensive and worth every penny.
Does not stick, easy to wash, well Engineered. Perfect. And it looks STUNNING !

I don't know how much the contour of this thing affects the flavor of the food, but all I can say is that I've cooked some really delicious stuff with it. It also looks cool on my shelf and people always ask me about it.

Really solid and sturdy piece of cookware, and it's easy to clean.
