I love the colors and textures of Emile Henry products, and this one is the same as I have come to expect. It is another nice color to add to me kitchen. I also prefer the 45 degree decline with the wide opening, over some other options that are 90 degrees and one size through the entire opening. I find this more easily accessible to my larger hands than the other options.

Although I was first shipped the wrong color when I got this one I was very happy and returning the other was not that much of a hassle. It is a deep purple color which is what I was hoping for, the opening is large enough to use easily and it doesn't take up too much counter space.

Well, I prefer to call it a salt cellar but hey, that's me.
Seriously it is nice to have the kosher salt handy, easy to grab a little and not in that stupid box. I really like the design, the color is a little funky but the price was great and it's not a bad color, just a strange cross between brown and burgundy. That's the only reason I went down a star. They are available in other colors if that won't work for you but I figured it would be fine for my kitchen, wouldn't show dirt, hoping it was more burgundy than it was and it was $10 cheaper than the other colors. Amazon's price on this was less than other sites I found.

Odd color, though. However the design allows you to keep your sea salt on the counter without worrying about something falling into it. The butter dish is cool, too.
