I love the colors and textures of Emile Henry products, and this one is the same as I have come to expect. It is another nice color to add to me kitchen. I also prefer the 45 degree decline with the wide opening, over some other options that are 90 degrees and one size through the entire opening. I find this more easily accessible to my larger hands than the other options.

My boyfriend had drooled over the Emile Henry salt pigs at the Sur le Table store on our vacation, so I decided to drop the money and get it for him as a surprise gift. The quality is amazing and the design is just perfect. This slate color is so rich and luxurious, I was very pleasantly surprised. It was a perfect gift, and it makes him smile whenever he uses it to make me delicious food.

I thought this would have a brushed coarse look but it doesn't, it is definately a glazed ceramic and I would have selected another color had I realized that. It is AWESOME though, I love it! Miraculously keeps the salt dry and I'd recommend to anyone, it's a bit pricey but I haven't looked back.

I have a Emile Henry Salt Pig, I fill it with Kosher salt and it never clumps together or gets moist. My daughter has wanted one but the kitchen shop I got mine from has closed but Amazon is never closed and had the salt pig in the color I wanted. MY daughter was quite surprised and it turned out to be a great Christmas gift.

Any new guest in our kitchen always asks what it is, so it is a good conversation piece.

love the salt pig, the color is so rich looking and it holds a decent amount of salt. we use it all the time. definitely worth the extra money.

I had gotten this for my mom for her birthday in July, she had never heard or seen anything like it, and she loves it!

My wife bought me an Emile Henry Salt Pig for Christmas last year, and I think I've used it every day since then. I had a friend ask what the fuss was about until she was making salt rolls on Thanksgiving and asked where I kept the kosher salt. I pointed to the pig and I'm pretty sure from her reaction that she will be putting a pig on her wish list this year.

Practically speaking, this vessel has a wide open mouth at just the right angle. I can get my big hand all the way in there when the salt is at a low level, and I can swivel the angle away from anything that might be splatter-prone on the stove. The outer glaze has a very nice appearance, and the inner texture does its job of keeping moisture out of the salt. Overall - I love my pig! It's worth every penny.

Shipped as expected. Great packing. Beautiful salt pig. Large opening so you can grab a small or large pinch. I really have enjoyed this. Perfect for me and looks nice on the countertop.
