I travelled to Toronto for this exhibit in 2007 at the AGO and was thrilled to have the opportunity to find this book on Amazon last year for much less than it sold for at the exhibit. BEAUTIFUL book and such an important addition to any art historian's collection. Emily Carr is one of the least known women artists here in the United States - yet she remains one of the best, most interesting, and most essential to know during these times of environmental crisis. If you are a fan of Emily Carr and know that there are not many books about her then you will not be disappointed. If you've never seen her work in person but are interested in women artists and art history this is a great start as it also gives an overview of some other Canadian artists in her time period.
