Editorial Reviews

From Library Journal

From the foremost etiquette authority comes this updated guide to business manners designed with today's fast-paced environment in mind. The emphasis is on good taste and decorum, and if behavior in movie theaters is any indication, our culture sorely needs this sound advice. Narrator Post, great granddaughter-in-law of Emily Post, explains the fundamentals of personal appearance, job interviews, public speaking, radio and TV appearances, teleconferencing, lunch/dinner business meetings, entertaining, E-mail, and numerous other situations relevant to professional behavior. In today's cubicle environment, even Dilbert would find many of these tips helpful. This nicely supplements Judith Martin's Miss Manners' Basic Training: Communication (Crown, 1997) and is an excellent resource for all public libraries.?Dale Farris, Groves, Tex.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Introduction to Business Etiquette, July 29, 1998
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

I enjoyed the basics offered regarding Business Etiquette. I was disappointed the author spent so much discussing how to find a job, and how to leave a job. If I wanted a book on finding a job I would have purchased one.

This review is from: Emily Post's Guide to Business Etiquette (Audio Cassette)
A must-have for the new millenium worker. With intelligence, sensitivity, and candor, the Posts offer solid advice on negotiating the challenging workplace social scene with grace. They also filter out irrelevant and out-dated business etiquette practices and offers fresh suggestions for new ones. Navigating the choppy waters of the business world is tough; this book is a port in a storm. It's helped me avoid making mistakes--it will help you too!
