5.0 out of 5 stars Emily Windsnap and the Siren Secret, May 11, 2010

a must read for any fan of the original Emily Windsnap trilogy. This book managed to wrap up the loose ends I felt that was left up in the original three books like her mothers feelings of mermaid school vs human school, The family duty to Neptune to bring humans and Mer folk closer together and Emily on and off again friend ship with Mandy from her old town Bridgeport. in this book Emily's best friend's family and school is in danger due to Bridgeport's development plans. Neptune has ordered Emily and others back to Bridgeport to do what they can to avoid evacuation plans and bring the two worlds closer together. A event made a little easier with Emily and her new half mer boy friend has the power to over turn Neptune's curses when together. Emily's plans to find the missing sirens results in her best friend being trapped with the singing mermaids in a curse cave and Mandy and all of Bridgeport remembering every mermaid sighting that happened over the years. Especially the battle with the Kraken in book 2. One of the most best surprises in the book was Liz wrapping up the series loose end of Emily having never met her grandparents because of Neptune's spell to try to separate Emily parents before she was born.

5.0 out of 5 stars WoW!!!!!!!!!, October 19, 2010
A Kid's Review
I bought this for my daughter - after reading the first three books, she couldn't wait to read the next book in the series and didn't stop until I pre-ordered it for her. She read it in two days and could hardly put it down. Her review is below:

It was awesome! Much better than my other books in my bookshelf. It had some very nice touches and it made me cry a little. I hope there is a fifth book!
PS: I'm 10 years old

5.0 out of 5 stars I love her., January 17, 2011
I have actually met her she came all the way from England to go to a writing seminar in GA. I met her and she was so nice I got picked to read my idea for a story she said it gave her chills. I love her writing and she was so nice to everyone who got picked. She said she was inspired in her books of Phillipia Phisher books. It was because she had tried to use a daisy and get a fairy hoping it would work so she remembered it from when she was a kid and she wrote a book about it. I am eleven and she is one of my favorite authors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Emily Windsnap and the Siren's Secret by Liz Kessler, January 25, 2012
A Kid's Review
"Emily Windsnap and the Siren's Secret" by Liz Kessler, the fourth and final book in the series, is a wonderful story! Emily, everyone's favorite semi-mer, is yet again on a mission--this time to bring peace between merpeople and humans. After moving back to her old town, Brightport, things start to go wrong. Her plans slow down when her best friend, Shona, gets stuck in an underground cavern with a group of unfriendly sirens! Only Emily and her friend Aaron can break the curse that doesn't let the lost sirens (and Shona) escape from the cavern! What will they do to free Shona and the sirens?

Although the first two books in the series are my favorite, this book is wonderful, too! Since this is the last book, I'm really sad that I won't be reading any more books about Emily Windsnap! I will be reading the newest books, "A Year Without Autumn" and "Philippa Fisher and the Fairy's Promise". So far, I've enjoyed every book I've read that's by Liz Kessler! Like I said before, never stop writing, Ms. Kessler! :D

Liz Kessler strikes again with her mastery of description and words! She's really a pro!

"Sharp tunnels of wind whistled and shrieked around every corner. Trees bowed and shook and broke. Rain splattered viciously down on the pavement."

"Out at sea, it was even worse. On the water, the storm had turned swells into walls the size of skyscrapers. Waves foamed hungrily, like giant rabid dogs."

I recommend this book for preteens and teens. It's a "swishy" read, and overall I give it 5 stars. :)
