I guarantee you that this book is well worth your time. You may not realize this until you have read it through to the end, but when you have finished the book, you will truly understand things you may have thought you already understood. For example: our thoughts create our reality; the power behind thinking versus the power behind feeling and knowing; love is all there...

Before reading this book, do a little research into some of the previously published work about the psychic children of China in "China's Super Psychics", published in 1997. The uncanny resemblances will give you good cause to question Twyman's 'reports'.

Twyman himself admits that not everything in his stories is true. Read it if you must, but keep in mind...

I guarantee you that this book is well worth your time. You may not realize this until you have read it through to the end, but when you have finished the book, you will truly understand things you may have thought you already understood. For example: our thoughts create our reality; the power behind thinking versus the power behind feeling and knowing; love is all there is. Every time we have a great new insight, we think we finally understand. But do we really? We understand much more, certainly, but the whole picture is far vaster than we tend to think. To get the most out of this book, you have to resist the mind's urge to say you already understand its message, but just have trouble following it. (The message, by the way, is to live your life as a response to this question: How would you act or behave if you knew that you are an Emissary of Love this moment? Begin!) When you see the truth fully, you will have no trouble following its message, because you will know that anything else would be a waste of energy.

I disagree with the previous review. This book is far more than just heart-warming fluff. The story is real. However, I believe you will get something out of it whether you believe it or not. This book is simply beautiful. If you want to see something else beautiful, go to emissaryoflight.com and look at the flash movie for the Art of Spiritual Peacemaking course - it will touch your soul, I promise - even if, like me, beautiful pictures and images of peace can sometimes seem more sappy than moving. There you will also find courses to apply and make real in your life the messages of the book.

I hope you will say "yes" to this book, and even if you do not, I hope you will say "yes" to being an Emissary of Love for the world. You are needed now, for the now is all there is.

4.0 out of 5 stars Heart-Warming Fluff, December 3, 2002

"Emissary of Love" is a delightful story! It will warm your heart, give you hope, and take you to one of the few places that New Age books rarely dare to go - behind the Iron Curtain. This gives the book the adventursome feel of "The Celestine Prophecy."

Unfortunately, "Emissary of Love" doesn't have the depth or variety that "Celestine Prophecy" had. But what "Emissary" lacks in depth, it makes up for in clarity. "Emissary" has one simple point to communicate. And when you are done reading (I finished it in less than 4 hours, reading straight through!), you will know that point, feel it, and breath it. This is something "Celestine" didn't give me! You won't have any hanging questions when you are done reading "Emissary of Love".

So why didn't I give it 5 stars? Because there is just one point to this book, and I had that point before I BOUGHT that book! I got it from James Twyman's emails and news letters friends had sent me. However, reading this book reinforced the point, warming my heart and making me WANT to keep growing and learning.

I don't expect I will go back to re-read "Emissary" any time soon like I did with "Celestine" - "Emissary" just doesn't have that kind of depth. But any time your 'batteries' need charging, "Emissary" is a great way to get 'charged up' again!

Twyman himself admits that not everything in his stories is true. Read it if you must, but keep in mind that the author writes for the purpose of selling books, and is well aware that the unvarnished truth is not nearly as thrilling as miracles, real or imagined.

For those who want more information, the author is also known as Jimmy Twyman. A websearch for that name will help you to locate a n indepth report about the way he fudges the truth, at the NewHeavenNewEarth website.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book could open your eyes to a new world view, January 31, 2004
By
This review is from: Emissary of Love: The Psychic Children Speak to the World (Paperback)
This book has important information to give us as the Psychic Children, with their roots going back to the earliest days of Christianity, are centered in a secret monastery in Bulgaria and they chose Twyman as their intermediary to transfer their message to the outside world. The story starts in January 1991 at "An Informal Evening with James Twyman" when Marco, a ten-year Old Bulgarian boy mysteriously appears; none of the fifty guests are aware of his presence. During the ensuing conversation Marco asks "Do you know how to jump into people's lives and see things about them?" and proceeds to recall details of Twyman's childhood known to him alone. All the Psychic Children - called the Children of Oz - can see events about other people just like a playback of a movie. They can also move things with their mind - a power given to the author who started bending spoons a few days later.

Marco returned in a dream to explain that Twyman's terrible headaches were caused by using his special gifts for the wrong purpose. "What is important is that you learn to love people and you will be able to use the powers for good things, not to impress people" and "All I can tell you right now is that we have a message for people, and you need to find it, then tell the people that message." After two more dreams saying that it is the heart that really communicates and that the Children of Oz are here to serve a higher purpose, the author went to Bulgaria where he met with four of the Psychic Children - Anna, Ivan, Thomas and Sonja - who gave him the message and that is what this book is all about.

Because of his work for peace and what he has accomplished through his peace concerts Twyman has been given the responsibility to give to us the message from the Psychic Children. This book could open your eyes to a new view of who you are, why you are here and what you should be doing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Much better than I expected!, November 19, 2003
This review is from: Emissary of Love: The Psychic Children Speak to the World (Paperback)
I didn't really know what to expect from this book. I hadn't heard of James Twyman before, but I was surfing the net during an insomnia-ridden night recently, and stumbled upon references to this book. The more I surfed around for more info, the more intrigued I became. I ended up ordering the book and reading the entire thing in one day (I didn't do anything else that day).

I gotta tell ya, the book certainly changed my perspective on life and that's not easy to do.

One other review called it "fluff" and while I'll admit that it's not heavy and ponderous, I don't think fluff really fits. This book carries an important message, whether it's a true story or not, and I'm afraid that labeling it as fluff will make others think it's not worth reading. Believe me, it IS worth reading.

4.0 out of 5 stars Spiritual Truth with a lot of fluff added, February 18, 2005
This review is from: Emissary of Love: The Psychic Children Speak to the World (Paperback)
The book revolves around one central question: "How would you act or behave if you knew that you are an Emissary of Love this moment?" It is a good question and it is an important question for all of us to hold in our awareness as we go through the day.

Expressing love begins with awareness that love is always present everywhere and we only need to remember to keep expressing it consciously, to keep cultivating it. It is also true that Love is the Source of All Power and correctly so, in this book, the more love each individual develops, the more power he is able to express. The characters in this book also correctly point out that all of these great abilties that emerge in the process are not what's important, nor are they ever meant to be used to show off or for self-importance - they are all a "gift" from Love (One Love permeating everything) and they are intended to be used out of love, in the service of love.

Many wonderful truths are presented in this book, and yes it is a heart-warming book. The book is written very much in the style of "Celestine Prophecy" and while it makes it for maybe more interesting reading (I suppose that wild chase helps to keep people's attention longer), it also gives you a filling that there is so much fluff in the book and that the whole point of the book could've been written on a few pages.

As a previous reviewer noted, the stories in this book do have uncanny resemblances to the stories mentioned in "China's Super Psychics". The book "China's Super Psychics", on the other hand, has some depth and unlike this book doesn't come across as fluffy. It also contains stories that are way more amazing than the stories mentioned in this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely, well written book, perfect for peace workers, August 16, 2006
By

This review is from: Emissary of Love: The Psychic Children Speak to the World (Paperback)
The book is a refreshing look at a group of children now appearing in significant numbers on the earth who are "sensitive" to the otherside, and they reflect the peace and love of the Divine. Some reviewer on this site says it is the same as another book on psychic children in China, yet this is not suprising because the children are appearing everywhere. I found the book to be a real page turner and could not put it down until the very end. The message is simple, and it really comes down to whether you are on the side of peace and love or whether you wish to live in the chasos and negativity of this world There is a story to be told in his search for these special children and the interviews with them are genuine, touching and special. But you have to have love in your heart to appreciate the sublime message that the book teaches and what we should be thinking about each day. Peace to everyone. And I WILL read about the Chinese psychic children, because I love to read about these children, called "indigos" by others, because their message of love is so very comforting. So I thank that other reviewer for mentioning that book, but I think they need to revise their rating to 5 stars where it belongs. This book is lovely and I do not believe it matters if there is also a book on the Chinese indigos.
