As a woman who lives as much of her life as possible barefoot, I wage a constant battle with rough, dry skin. As for calluses- I am an over-achiever. I have often joked with my daughter that I need to use a belt sander on them. Not anymore. The Micro-Pedi sends all other tools (pumice, ped eggs etc, and yes, belt sanders) into the trash.
I have frequent professional pedicures, and while they are divine, they have limited impact. I honestly thought my calluses would kill this little thing. Not so. Easy to use, no irritation, and safely stops when applying too much pressure (which you don't need to do- this miracle worker will take care of everything gently). Now I can't stop. Used it on the rough skin on my elbows and knees too. My only suggestion (and cover your eyes if you are easily grossed out) but use this when you are alone (I know, you were planning to take it to a party). But seriously, the dead skin will fly. It is fun, but it is not pretty. Happy sanding!

I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon. I've been a Prime Member since they came up with the program. I don't even buy anything from department stores without first consulting the Amazon reviews. But over the past year or so I've noticed a pattern in the reviews -- more and more of them seem to be fake.

I bought this device because of all the glowing reviews. I really wanted it to work because my feet are a constant problem. I've been using PedEggs for the past couple of years and they work well, but they have to be replaced every couple of weeks and the expense adds up. They also require a lot of elbow grease but my elbows (and other parts) are not so well greased anymore so I was looking for something a little more automated. From the reviews, this looked great!

Next time, I'll take a harder look at the source of the reviews. I've come to distrust all reviews from reviewers who have only one review in their review history. And, all reviewers who have just a handful of reviews but they're all from the same date. Also, the writing quality of some of the reviews seems contrived.

This device was such a disappointment that I am doubtful that all these people could have honestly reviewed it positively. I couldn't get it to work for me. My sister could not. My daughter had no luck with it. My neighbor tried it and failed. How the heck are you all getting this to work? Yes, yes, we know about the "light touch" thing. The little roller keeps rolling but it just doesn't ***do*** anything. We tried both rollers, pink and blue. Nothin'.

My elderly mother got it to take a tiny dusting of dead skin off but the roller clogged up quickly and no amount of brushing would get it to work again.

I suffered with dry feet and horribly cracked heals for years. I tried everything to fix them including foot sanders, a Ped-Egg, and EVEN a Dewalt Orbital Sander! I tried all sorts of creams and lotions. Sure, my feet were fine for a few days, but then I'd have to go back to the grind (literally) every few days to get my feet back into shape and even then the results were only mediocre. Yes, the orbital sander worked alright, but really, do you want to be pulling out an industrial orbital sander for a pedicure??? Yes, sadly, my feet were just gross.

I don't remember how I came across this Micro-Pedi on Amazon, but I am sure glad I did. I read the reviews which seemed favourable and figured it was worth a try. This little machine really works! My feet were in really bad shape, but after three days of using this (along with proper washing and moisturizing after each use) my feet were really quite nice! It has been a few weeks since I've had this and I use it every 2-3 days for maintenance and I have to say that my feet have not looked this nice since I was a little kid! I am completely amazed! It is comfortable to hold and the spinning roller does all of the work!

A few tips... (1) You can't grind the roller into your skin as it will stop spinning (which is probably a good thing). You need to use a relatively light touch, but that's all it needs to take off that layer of dead skin. (2) Use new batteries. Once the batteries start getting low, the spinning will slow down and the roller will stop under less pressure. (3) Clean the roller and unit after each use. If you don't, well, it's just gross. (4) It's best to use this with your feet over the bathtub so you can simply rinse the tub when you're done.

product rating = 2 1/2. Customer services rating = 10

First few times of use was good but then the roller itself stop spinning (whenever little pressure being applied) even though the spinner mechanism is still spinning.

Return process update: Emjoi stand solidly behind their product's one (1) year guarantee by sent me a new one as the replacement within couple of weeks. Now my family can continue on sanding away those ugly and cracking skins. Thank you for your great customer services :-)

May 29, 2012 product's update: :-( got the replacement and after the third use, same thing happen again. I am sending it back for another replacement -(

I was crossing my finger waiting for Emjoi to delay or giving problem for keep exchanging the same product as many other companies always does to discourage you from keep replacing its broken products but their one year's guarantee service is very solid. Same as the first time, they've sent me a new one with no question asked (well, except for your note of product's problem explaination included with your return's product).
This product concept and Emjoi guarantee's service is the best among its kind, it's just the product spin's mechanism need improving.

MY FINAL THOUGHT (Feb 05, 2013):
After exchanged this product twice (costing me additional $12 for shipping cost) , the motor working fine now except the roller had worn out and need replacement which would cost me another $20 so now I stop using it and just use the sand file and to sand manually. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE until it could be improve with a much more solid and stronger type of roller and its attachment. There should also be an option for user to change sand paper on the roller or roller replacement price should be much cheaper.
