5.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly Good!
I was cautiously optimistic when I purchased this item, but I was very impressed with it. I even used it on my upper lip, which I usually bleached because I was afraid of dark, course hairs!! It works beautifully. I found that, at times, you do have to look in the mirror & direct the emjoi toward the hair. You may have to go over a couple of times (like a paint brush)...

This product really doesn't work. It removes fine hair by the root (painfully) but leaves more coarse hair (e.g. chin) alone or breaks it off creating stubble. I have tried going over the area in every direction and every angle. I end up doing the job with tweezers anyhow. I wouldn't recommend it even if it were free.

It works beautifully. I found that, at times, you do have to look in the mirror & direct the emjoi toward the hair. You may have to go over a couple of times (like a paint brush). Also, very short hairs can be difficult, but the results are terrific. It actually reduces the number of hairs that grow back as you continue to use it. The upper line hurt the first time, but after that was PAIN FREE!!! Yeah!!I would totally buy this product again! Good Luck!

4.0 out of 5 stars Works for me!, May 23, 2007
I love this thing! Though I definitely feel each hair pulled out, for the first time in years my chin is smooth. I use it every day for a few seconds, then can forget about it. And the hairs don't come back as fast as they did with plucking or cream. I've recommended the Emjoi to all my women friends with any "plucking problems", and all agree it gives the best results.

5.0 out of 5 stars It takes some getting used to but....., August 3, 2007

it really does work well. I have had the Tweeze for several months now. I have used it on my upper lip and my chin. The first time I used it, it was very painful but it worked so I kept using it. The more I used it, the less painful it became. You don't want to push down against your skin; use light pressure and go in a circular motion, hold your skin taut and it will remove more hair. I used to wax but it didn't get every hair so I would have to rewax and my skin would get irritated and waxing also made me break out. With the Tweeze, I just use it until I don't feel anymore hair being pulled out. I just used it yesterday after several weeks and it only took me about 2 minutes to do my upper lip and my chin. I have a few coarse hairs on my chin that it doesn't remove effortlessly but it only takes seconds to pull them out with tweezers. Since I have been using this, I have definately noticed the hair on my upper lip is finer and more sparse. I also notice that after using this, my skin feels very smooth.

1.0 out of 5 stars Also Disappointed, June 4, 2007
Was very let down by this product. Had to roll over hair numerous times and was left with breakouts all over chin area, not worth the money and shaving is much more convienent than having to deal with this product!

1.0 out of 5 stars Can't give less than one star, May 17, 2007
This product is painful to use and does not remove all of the hairs. It did succeed in pulling the very fine hairs that did not need to be removed. The Tweeze only jerked some of the thicker hairs that DID need to be removed, and as a result, the skin under those hairs, but DID NOT pull them out. Other hairs were simply broken off at the surface. I might as well have just shaved the hair off.

I used this product on my:
1. legs, in several different spots
2. arms, also in several different spots
3. underarms
4. upper lip
5. chin
6. neck

In all of those places, the very fine hairs were pulled out by the roots, but the thicker hairs were either broken and still visible just under the skin or not affected at all. After using it in those places, there was no way I wanted to use it on my bikini area. In the time it took to actually make noticeable progress with the Tweeze, I could have used a pair of manual tweezers to get all of the hairs, and with a lot less pain. (As others have said, even following the instructions in the package insert, ie, holding the skin taut, there was definite noticeable discomfort)

My recommendation is to save your time, money and batteries. Personally, I will be sticking to razors, manual tweezers, depilatory creams, and waxing.

I like how this tweeze works. It has kept the hair off for awhile now. It is worth the money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good product, May 12, 2007

Once you learn how to use the little machine, it does a nice job pulling SHORT hairs out. It really can't work on long hairs - as its brochure tells you - so don't try.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, April 17, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I just received the Tweeze and looked forward, based on the other reviews, to trying it out. It did not work for me. Was painful and left small stubs that scratch. It is not as fast and clean as a razor. The clean for days most the factor was the reason I purchased it and I can not see that will happen. Waste of money for me.
