Three Faults,
By Hansel (Singapore) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Emma Darwin (Paperback)
Three main faults of the book:
1. The writing is so unclear that the reader has to read a passage several times to understand what the author is trying to say. 2. This is strictly speaking not a biography on Emma Darwin, but an overview of the Darwins, Wedgwoods and Allens. Because the book is relatively thin, the details are superficial, lacking in depth. 3. Bad structure. Many things are repeated and a more careful structuring would have made the book tighter. |
