5.0 out of 5 stars This book evoked the angel within me!
In "What Is an Angel Doing Here?" I began to touch more profoundly my connection to the Divine within. Emmanuel's gentle loving tone allows me to appreciate the beauty and complexity of my humaness while encouraging me to reach deeper.

1.0 out of 5 stars No Angels Here
This book was terrible. Boring and rambling, it seems more like an effort to cash in on people's current interest in angels than anything that could really help you. I found it answered none of life's questions for me.

This review is from: Emmanuel's Book III: What Is an Angel Doing Here? (Paperback)
In "What Is an Angel Doing Here?" I began to touch more profoundly my connection to the Divine within. Emmanuel's gentle loving tone allows me to appreciate the beauty and complexity of my humaness while encouraging me to reach deeper.

I chose this book during my darkest hours, and soon discovered more light penetrating the apparent shadows. I am eternally grateful (literally) for the loving points of light Emmanuel proffers.

"Feel or see the molecular structure of your bodies not as solid, but as spacious, with just enough physicality to dust the spirit." Ahhhh, thank you, Emmanuel, as I lovingly touch a bit of Heaven within.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Gem, December 1, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Emmanuel's Book III: What Is an Angel Doing Here? (Paperback)
Who is the "Angel"? You are. That is Emmanuel's message. The book helps you to recognize your own divinity. It is definitely the same voice as the first two, but this time Emmanuel is more pressing ... maybe it is his last book. All three of his books are on my nightstand. Many, many times I have had a question, I open one of the books randomly and find the answer there.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the top 10 books of Spiritual Wisdom I have found, July 16, 2000
This review is from: Emmanuel's Book III: What Is an Angel Doing Here? (Paperback)
Emmanuel's books are some of the best books I have found which contain real, deep spiritual truths. They present a vision of humanity and God which is totally compassionate and loving. The question is not whether these books are true. The question is whether you are ready for this truth? Many similar books are hard to digest, but this series is not. Emmanuel means "God with us," and God is truly in this series. I strongly recommend this series if you are a seeker of Truth.

5.0 out of 5 stars Powerful and wise, February 13, 2010
This review is from: Emmanuel's Book III: What Is an Angel Doing Here? (Paperback)
"Emmanuel's Book III: What Is an Angel Doing Here?" is the third book of Emmanuel's teachings brought to us through channel Pat Rodegast. The focus of Book III is your true nature...your angelhood. Emmanuel says, "You are not the limited beings that you think you are. You are divine energy which has access to many universes...you are greater than the finite experiences of this Earth...you are only part human. The other part of you is an Angel. Your human life is a journey. It is not a prison sentence. Your life is a gift to the planet. Not one of you is here by mistake."
He states, " I come to speak to you, not of what I know, but what you know, not of who I am, but of who YOU are. I come to the planet to assist at the birth of your total and complete memory as much as each human being will allow me. The world is filled with Angels who have lost their way, who have forgotten who they are...The journey into unknowing is necessary. You have come to explore the world of illusion. As long as you live, you will never receive satisfactory answers to the why of suffering on your planet. If you look back on the challenging times in your own life, you can see the treasures they brought. Let that be enough...Everyone, no matter how roguish, no matter how vicious or dishonest, has the flame of their Divine being alive within them...So the angel must assume the wardrobe of illusion, for the Angel cannot leave the Oneness without it. No matter how far one tumbles into illusion, one is still in the center of Light. The Light, which is what You are, can walk into the familiar human fog or into the dungeons of hell and still remain pure Light.
Emmanuel says about fear. "Fear exists only when you feed it. In those moments of terror, trust your heart. Fear will go away once you give it permission to leave...Fear is an illusion. Nothing can harm You. You are eternal. Do not plead the case of your life to the tribunal of your mind. It will keep you in court for another six hundred years...Humanity has placed at fear's doorstep many symbols, the devil being one. There is no darkness outside your own belief. How can the light be lost?... As long as you are human, you are bound to doubt...It is not the form that brings the Love. It is the Love that brings the form."
Concerning pain Emmanuel advices, "Get to know pain by holding it in your awareness. See the cells of your body not as solid matter but as molecules separated by the spaciousness of being. You are consciousness. You are light inhabiting physical form...When you choose fear and aversion in a world of duality, you add to the darkness of your planet. When you choose Love, your entire planet is lighter."
Emmanuel says the Bible was written, for the most part, in the name of fear. "Fear believed that the Being of Light would not be remembered and therefore His memorial has to be frozen in the written word...If there were no written texts of any faith, do you truly believe humanity would forget God? Christ was crucified yet He still walks this Earth. The truth of that life, championed and celebrated, lives forever.
Is truth so particular that there is only one gate to heaven? There are no gates. Heaven is inside you. You are not even the gatekeeper."
Emmanuel says about death, "Death is not traumatic to the dying. One moment you are alive and then you are not, and then there is little difference except you are free...As spirits swiftly join them, the newly dead realize that they have just graduated from school...No physical body dies one moment before the soul is ready, nor one moment after...When someone dies, feel free to continue the conversation, but know that you are not speaking to the limited person that you knew. You are speaking to the essence...When you leave the human world, the only gift you bring Home is your Love."
Emmanuel says if you commit a crime in this life there's no retribution in heaven. "When you step out of your bodies, your deeds stand before you. You see then what you have accomplished in your life. Have you loved? Hated? Destroyed? That is enough. Illusion is illusion. It matters absolutely while you are engaged. But when you leave, it matters not at all...Self-identity has been so limited that you truly have forgotten that you and the vibrant pulsation of the Earth are of the same substance...You are already what you seek...Love is the purpose of your journey, the confusions of you life, the wanderings of your mind, and the sorrows of your heart. You come in the name of perfect Love and you spend your lives attempting to honor that Love...When you have full memory of your own Divinity, everything in your life becomes a blessing."
