"Emotion",
By Music & Movie Luver (Hollywood, Florida USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Emotion (Vinyl)
A breezy album of late 70's pop/easy listening tunes. It featured her big hit "Emotion", written by Barry & Robin Gibb & performed with The Bee Gees. Some people thought it was a Bee Gees song. Other's considered Sang a sort of "female Bee Gee" which she supposedly resented because she had a whole other career prior to her U.S. success, in Europe, as Cheryl Gray. The album has several good songs including a cover of Eric Carmen's "Change Of Heart", a remake of "La La La-I Love You", & another Barry/Robin Gibb penned tune called "The Love Of A Woman" where Sang shows off her pipes a la Eydie Gorme. Sang sued her label (the now defunct Private Stock) because they did not promote her follow-up single, "You Keep Me Dancing" to her expectations. Unfortunately, after that her career went south.
