This review is from: Emotional Cutoff: Bowen Family Systems Theory Perspectives (Haworth Marriage and the Family) (Hardcover)
For anyone desiring a more in depth study of Bowen's concept of Emotional Cutoff, this book, edited by Peter Titelman, is most worthwhile. A quick glance over the table of contents, available online, shows the book to include a comprehensive survey of various areas cutoff occurs,i.e. divorce, migration, trauma survivors, and the possible long term effects. This book, as well as Titleman's Triangles, provide a greater depth of understanding and application of Bowen Theory as well as cutoff and triangles in everyday families. A very readable book. Highly recommended.
