John L. O'Brien was born in Lafayette, Indiana, where his parents attended Purdue University, but he calls South Bend, Indiana, home. He was an Irish kid growing up in a Jewish neighborhood within blocks of the University of Notre Dame. He has been married for more than 29 years. He has four children and four, soon to be five, grandchildren. John and his wife Alice enjoy their "empty nest" status, and have lived in the southwest Denver area for almost three decades. The only thing John has ever won in his life was the number five (5) pick for the Vietnam draft lottery in 1969. He earned his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in studies related to business and human resources. John has studied human emotions and psychological functioning for more than three decades, searching for a path to achieve lasting happiness and contentment in life. He has founded an entirely new and exciting field of study to achieve and continually refine each individual's path to healthy psychological functioning and happiness, called Thinkiatry®. Become a Thinkiatrist, and join the happiest people on earth!
I downloaded this to my PC since I don't have a Kindle. Wow, I couldn't put this book down. In fact, I'm reading it again. I can truly understand how the principles and processes apply to my life, every day. I wish someone would have taught me this a long time ago. It's one of the best self-help books I've read in a long, long time. I hope you get as much out of it as I am. Thanks!
As a self improvement reader, implementer and having the desire to always get better and better in my life; I am excited to have experienced this book and process. The book reads well, is practical, and as more and more people become "Thinkiatrists" I believe a "Happiness" shift is on it's way to our world! Thank you Dr. O'Brien.
Go, go, go...
