Book Description

I’das is a young philosopher who stays awake all night, smokes three packs of cigarettes a day, and tries to answer unresolved philosophical questions. When his night life and his obsessive smoking significantly impacts his social and occupational functioning, he refers to a psychiatrist who tells him that he suffers from schizophrenia that his belief, that he’s a great thinker, is a mere delusion. Knowing little about the nature of his disorder I’das puts all his faith in psychology, thinking he would soon get better. But things get worse when finds out that psychology has no cure for schizophrenia.
I’das no more rely on psychology and begins his own research on schizophrenia. To his astonishment, he finds clues that what he has is a high degree of creativity and that he shares so many traits with the giants of humanity, such as Buddha, Mozart, Shakespeare, Einstein, Aristotle, and Rumi. Now he decides to prove that psychology is not a reliable branch of science. His success would mean he’s a genius and that many traits he has are not only desirable but entwined with creativity, and his failure would mean he indeed has schizophrenia and his knowledge is a mere delusion.
