Looks good but overpriced for what it is.

This heavy, wrought iron gate works beautifully the wrought iron railings in my home.

These have been life-savers for me when I need to contain my dog in a certain area or keep him away from guests. In fact, I bought 2 more after I saw how nice they were and how well they helped to control my dog. There are parts of the house that I want to be off-limits at certain times.

These gates are somewhat heavy, but still easy to open or move around, even for a smaller person like me. I think when I had 2 dogs 'working together on the project', they did knock one over a couple of times when the dogs were in an especially frantic mood--which was often. They were both medium-large dogs, but even still, they were only able to knock it over because I didn't have it up properly. One of the sides made it easy for them to jump on it. When I learned to put it up correctly, it stayed up even through the frantic jumping.

When visitors are in the house, the dogs are easily contained behind the gates, and they still get to feel they are part of things and not closed up somewhere.

I don't allow my 'rescued' dog to be around people, because he's protective of me and I never know when he might think I'm in danger. He tends to growl at people and scare them. He used to sound vicious when the cleaning lady came. Of course I always kept him outside when she was inside. Now, he lets me know he would like to say 'Hi!' to her. He's safely behind these 'bars', which I believe he thinks are to protect HIM, not others, and he stares at the floor when she comes in to say "Hi!" to him. He doesn't make eye contact, which is his way of saying 'Peace! I am not angry with you.' Last week for the first time he very, very slowly raised his eyes and looked at her for the first time. He's very proud of himself. That never would have happened if it hadn't been for the bars, which make him feel protected and more controlled.

The design is very attractive and looks like a fireplace screen. I like them very much.

I wanted to keep the dog (not to mention my kids) out of the living and dining rooms but didn't want to have to live with a plastic baby gate. This heavy, wrought iron gate works beautifully the wrought iron railings in my home. It's heavy enough to do the job without making it impossible to move easily. So glad I spent the money to get something that didn't just work, but which didn't kill compromise the aesthetic.

This gate is very tall, and extremely solid as well as heavy. When set up, even our 110 pound Bernese Mountain dog couldn't knock it over!
Worth the money if traditional smaller and lightweight gates don't work for your dog. And it's quite classy as well.

I got this and I thought that it was really nice and very well made. However, the bars are too far apart and my dog could fit right through. I'm really disappointed because I really wanted this to work.

Looks good but overpriced for what it is. Had some imperfections and even a dent with paint missing.
