I am a specialist Art teacher and this book is my bible! It is filled with beautiful photos of student work and plenty of expert advice & knowledge. It doesn't give step-by-step instructions for any of the projects, but anyone with some experience or creativity can break down how to create the amazing pieces of work by studying the photos. It is inspirational and the authors obviously know their stuff. I highly recommend this book.

This book is very useful for classroom teachers that need some ideas for incorporating Art into their curriculum. I enjoy that there are special chapters for Math, Science etc and that there are special chapters for clay, crafts, painting, etc. Great book to have as a reference.

This book is definitely a must for any educator. The text is very comprehensive and offers detailed information for instruction and variation for special learners. The pictures are amazing and many ideas can be derived. Highly recommended.

I found this book to be a great help in designing my art curriculum for the upcoming school year. With information and resources based on the many facets of art education (artists, mediums, styles, etc.) and grade-specific information, this book is an excellent resource for any art teacher (and even grade teachers seeking ways to tie art into their lesson plans).

My only complaint would be that there is no "school-wide" art program discussed. With budgets for non-core classwork diminishing yearly, art teachers are often forced to use only the resources at hand. I teach art at a K-6 elementary school and, since we rely totally on volunteers (parents), I have to create lesson plans that can be done in 1-2 hours a month and spans the entire school population. Which means the first graders are doing the same project as the sixth graders! I would love to have seen more student-based (instead of grade-/age-based) materials.

That said, I've gleaned several ideas and concepts for the upcoming year. The mural project alone is worth the price of this book!

I love this book and believe it would be helpful for all art teachers. I love the approach and recommend it. Theory, application, and projects are all found in this book. Get it.

I have read this book, it is very informative. A lot of "hands on" information that you can use in your classroom or for private lessons!

The seller was great, I got the book ontime and it is in wonderful condition. I bought the book for a class that I am taking for my Masters in Elementary Education. It has some good information, but I am not sure if I will use it. I'm glad I got it for 1/2 price.
