This is a well made product, but empire apparently doesn't think that anyone knows how to check the accuracy of a level. They also don't know how to build them accurately on a consistent basis.
I checked 10 levels before I found one that was good on 2 vials
& close to correct on the third.
It is a sturdy piece but don't buy one without checking it. If you don't know how to check a level simply hold it to a flat surface (doesnt matter if it is level or plumb, close is good enough)see what the vial reads, then spin the level 180 degrees, side to side not top to bottom. The vial should say exactly the same as before. Check all the vials. Just because one is right doesn't mean the others are.

I have owned many different brands of levels over the years and I can truly say this is the best I've owned so far for my needs. It's really accurate and solidly built. My employees will borrow it from my truck and use it for framing, trim and concrete work to hanging cabinets. I do have a request that it always be returned cleaned and preferably in one piece. After a couple of years of use it has lost its white empire logo but the blue anodized aluminum is holding up great. It is still highly accurate and the first level I reach for. I will be purchasing the digital version next. Let's hope it's as good. These are a little more expensive that some of the other brands, but you do get what you pay for with with this level.

This tool is cool. The True blue vile makes it easy to read in low light and day light. The Level is very light and fits great in my hand. Once on the job site my co-workers asked where I get that blue (True Blue) level.

Solid accurate level. Some levels are loaded with unnecessary features. This is a simple, yet stylish level that does exactly what it needs to do - accurately show you the lines. It's also very sturdy. I was a bit worried about the top vial thinking it would be exposed to breakage, but it is solidly encased in a clear plexi cover. It would take a LOT of abuse to damage this thing. Very pleased!!!

The NEW e70.24 Level is the best I have ever used. I build garages for a living and a level is a very important tool. I have been a carpenter for 40 years and this level is light weight (good for my old body) and easy to read the blue vile (good for my old eyes). I looked at the e70 at Home Depot and then orderd it from Amazon. Free freight and NO TAXES!
The young bucks on the job are going to purchase them too. They know better than to touch my tools!!

I have been using this level for about a month daily and I have to say it performs very well. The vials are easy to see inside and outside. It is built very sturdy, and is dead on for accuracy. I tried this level instead of a Stabila, which are the gold standard. At almost half the price, the value seems to be there.

This e70.24 tool is great and guaranteed to surpasses all other levels in accuracy with a vial system that is
accurate to .0005"/inch in all 10 positions. Most people can not name the 10 working positions.
