Purchased this battery to replace original that no longer holds charge. It's a perfect match for the original and has performed just as good so far.It holds it's charge for many days when phone is left off the charging base.So far so good, but only time will tell if it will hold up as long as original...

We ordered this battery pack for about $2.50 plus about $5.00 shipping. I suspect that $5.00 shipping charge comprises the lion's share of the profit on this item. You have to earn profit somehow in business, right? So that works out to about $7.50 per battery pack, which still beats out competitive products. Before you order that brand name battery pack you're comparing to this one to, open your cordless phone and take a look at the battery pack you are replacing. It's probably a few years old, right? And the batteries probably don't have any brand name on them, right? Guess what? These kind of batteries last a few years. That's all they're intended to last - regardless of whether or not they have a big brand name on them. So why pay $10.00 for a name brand (even if it comes with "free" shipping), when you're not likely to get better results? The manufacturers - who want happy customers and don't want returns and bad reviews - ship new phones with these kind of batteries because they know they work well and will have a reasonably long useful life span. Finally, let's face it. This is a commodity item. You're lucky the phone is still working well enough to replace the batteries after a few years. How many more years do you really expect to have the phone for anyway. Probably a few more. These batteries should last the rest of the phone's useful life. If the phone goes bad, you'll lose that much less with these batteries. If it doesn't, then you can pay another $7.50 in three years or so and juice it up good as new again. These batteries are a great value. If we end up experiencing an early wear-out I'll post another review, but I don't expect that to happen. I mean, common. They're rechargeable batteries for a cordless phone. It's not like we're using these to perform life saving surgery or something... We just gab on the phone for very long periods of time and are pleasantly surprised to see we have a lot of juice left when we're done talking. What more can you ask for than that, right? Good deal, this one.

What can I say, it works, and is 100 MaH more battery than the stock Uniden one I was using... Bought 4 for $10!...
The downside? Well, considering the product weighs practically nothing, and that 4 of them weigh practically nothing; $20 in shipping costs is insane... Especially since they where all shipped together lol... Great product, but you'll spend just as much dishing out for a $6 battery after shipping is all said and done... All I have to say is, it's a great product and does work as specified.

DISHONEST DEFECTIVE,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Empire CPH-488B Replacement Cordless Phone Battery (Electronics)
Purchased 2 batteries, both defective. Batteries do not have an "expiration" date (major brands do have an expiration date). Their site states "Free shipping" on returned "defective" batteries. After 2 weeks of emails trying to get this resolved, they finally told me to send the battery back at my expense. They refused to honor their own policy of free shipping. Difficult to deal with. I would never buy from this company, not honorable. If you decide to buy, ask them if their batteries have expiration dates(most major brands do)they do not. Good luck.

For a 3.6v 750mAH slighltly smaller battery pack. So this price with shipping doesn't even compare. We have 4 mobile Uniden phones and I will be buying 4 of these.

I bought two of these batteries as replacements for my Uniden phones. For the first year they worked great and held a charge as long as the original battery, but now they need replacing again. I consider that a good track record for inexpensive replacements and I'm going to buy two more soon. You'd be nuts to spend more. It's also very easy to replace the battery yourself -- just snap them in.

My three Uniden phones all stopped holding a charge at the same time. I was ready to replace them all, but decided to try buying new batteries first. I wasn't sure if that would fix them, so I opted for this battery because it was so cheap. My phones are now back up and running, and have been for several months so far. So glad I didn't buy new phones!

Much cheaper than buying from a Battery Plus store or OEM Replacements. Works great so far. I hate it when sellers add a shipping charge on each battery you buy. You know no way in Hell it cost that much to ship 3 batteries.
3 of UNIDEN BT-446 Battery (Equivalent) $3.85 each Shipping & Handling: $14.97 All three batteries came in the same bag shipped by mail. Why can't the seller just mark the price with the profit built in and add the real shipping charges to customers ??

I have purchased the battery pictured previously on July 23, 2009 which is a very good battery.
This purchase, made on 03/04/2011, where not the batteries that were shown in the picture. I received the "all white" ones which are lousy.... The whole reason I placed this order was to replace some "all white" ones which I had purchased 09/08/2010. |
