I bought this to measure out the pitching distance and bases for my son's Little League games. The kids help me measure out the proper distances and it's in the dirt all the time. It's relatively light, sturdy, easy to use (the kids can do it), and gives me more than enough distance I couldn't get with my regular metal tape measure. I recommend this if you need more distance than you can get in the belt clip on variety.

Got this item and am pleased. However, description is incorrect (at least for the one I was sent). Both sides of tape are WHITE unlike description. One side is White with ft/inch markings and other side is also white but with meter/centimeter markings. Yellow tape on metric side would have been nice to quickly distinguish between marking systems, but this will still serve my purposes.

This very affordable tape feels rugged, and winds an unwinds smoothly. I thought the tape might get tangled at long lengths, but it lays pretty flat and is easy to read on both the English and Metric sides. The end teeth take a good bite and keep things anchored while unspooling. Well worth the $12 for those times when your standard 25 foot tape won't do, like measuring landscaping jobs or laying out sport courts on the beach, and it shrugs off a little sand and saltwater with no worries, unlike a metal tape. I haven't checked its accuracy against any other measure, but I don't need anything more than the nearest inch in general anyway.

I needed a good 100 ft tape for measuring baselines for the baseball team I coach. This tape measure is great. Never tangles and the crank to bring it back is smooth. This tape measure is a great value for the price. Don't be fooled into more expensive models.

I bought this tool to use as a garden tool. I put stakes at the end of my planned rows, wrap this around the stakes and plant using the guides on the measuring tool. This works great - it rolls up nicely and smoothly and seems to be well-built.

The product broke on its very first use. It unwound to the end and the mechanism that holds the tape for re-coiling snapped. We didn't put any undue force on it, either. It just snapped, or more probably was broken on arrival.

A great product for the price. I admit I was expecting "cheap" plastic etc. but I was wrong! I have already recommended to several friends that they purchase one of these tapes.

Easy to use, priced right. Our tape gets a lot of dirt on it, but the it continues to reel very well, which I was worried about. Can't go wrong here.

What can I say. It's 100 feet long. Clearly marked. Does what I wanted it to do. Need I say more?

OK, I'm really satisfied with it!!!

If you're looking for an inexpensive 100' tape graduated in tenths and hundredths of a foot (engineers/surveyors) this isn't the tape you want. One side is standard (feet, inches, and fractional inches); the other side is metric (meters, decimeters, and centimeters)! "From the Manufacturer: Exclusive two color blade, white side has inch graduations, yellow side with engineer's 1/10th scale." Shame on Empire Level! However, Amazon's return policy does rock (in my case a 24-hour turn-around time). Unfortunately I received the same standard/metric tape. Since I purchased this tape for volunteers who occasionally need to measure stream/creek widths (muddy/wet/brushy locations), and since their measurements will generally be approximate, I'm sure I can live with this tape, BUT - Empire Level and Amazon should change the product description for this product. One-star for a bogus product description.
